I would give this little kitchen knife five stars just for how comfortable it is to hold. It's not very long which makes it easy to use,and it is exceptionally sharp.I actually kept it on the kitchen window sill for a couple of weeks while I assessed it's sharpness,but it's now safely in the drawer.I wondered if,when I bought it if I was paying over the he odds for a kitchen knife when there were others that were much cheaper but I'm glad I chose this.So far I have only used it to peel potatoes.my main intention for it so can't comment on other use.It appears to be dishwasher safe.

Yes, very sharp. My test for a sharp knife is can it cut slits in dough before the loaf goes into the oven? This one can. Vegetables are no problem at all either. But it's not a very pretty knife - the handle is niceley rounded but the blade is pretty rectangular. The blade is printed with 'Taylors Eye Witnees', not stamped into the metal. It adds up to looking a bit cheap. But it is very sharp and it is made in the UK. Decent value.

I'd been using a non-serrated chef's knife for cutting bread, so when I got this, a proper bread knife, it was just so much better and easier to use - like a hot knife through butter! I tend to buy quite heavy, solid bread so using a bread knife is blissful in comparison to what I was using before. This knife is a good size, nice and solid but easy to hold. The handle is comfortable too. And it's a big plus that this knife is British-made - quite a rarity these days; it's good to see a small business doing well (hopefully). I'll be looking out for Taylors Eye Witness SHEFFIELD MADE brand next time I need a good knife. And it comes with a lifetime guarantee too! Recommended.
