Anchor Hocking 340Q Glass 11.25" Cake Dome

I love this! I leave fruit and/or pastries ion the pedestal under the dome. This is great!

It fits perfectly over pretty much any cake stand making an instant bakery confectionary feel on my kitchen island. Love it. Good value, easy but heavy and super functional. Even good for a bread basket.

This cake dome was surprisingly heavy and had a nice thickness to the glass. I was so relieved when I opened it that it wasn’t thin glass! I would highly recommend this product, and the price was great!

I have an older glass cake pedestal that either never had a dome, or the dome was broken at some point with a prior owner. A cake pedestal isn't very useful without a dome, but the pedestal is too nice to toss. I thought I would try Amazon, not really thinking one could even buy a dome separately. I was wrong. I found this Anchor Hoking dome, which is, of course, well made. It arrived well packaged and was not damaged. It's heavy and not easily broken. It is not an exact match to the pedestal, but it is very close, so close that a person would need an antiques certificate to tell they are not part of a set. Very happy.

Nice quality product, but SO HEAVY. The glass is thick so a decent quality product, but lifting it up was like lifting hand weights. It wasn't impossible to move or anything, but it's the heaviest glass item I would have had in my kitchen (by far). I returned it and bought one that is lighter, like the one I am replacing. I suppose this one is sturdier and probably resistant to breakage, but it is just far too heavy to be practical for regular use.

I bake bread regularly and this is the perfect item to storage it. It looks good, heavy, straight, clear and provides enough room for my 1.5lb (before baking) bread loaf. At the center on the inside, it fits 6 inches, maybe 6 1/8 and the 11.75 inside diameter. When my loaf get to 6.25 height the cover is heavy enough to push it in and still sits tight. I am planning on doing the base myself and will create a little dip in the center, to allow for more height Meanwhile it is perfect, it is however have the small bubble in the glass. The height of the vertical side in the picture is 5 inches. The horizontal side is 6.25 inches and it was pushing against the glass.

Very nice dome, but I cannot locate a cake stand that goes with it that can actually be delivered.I have ordered 3 stands and every time the order is cancelled by the vendor.
