ULTIMA Powerflex High Power Surf Casting Shockleader

Great line for leaders and rig body. Very easy to tie and great abrasion resistance. Will always use this line, has never let me down

I have used two Ultima products over the years, Ultima Distance line, and this Powerflex shock leader. The Distance line has been very good only topped by Suffix Tritanium. Ultima Powerflex 4oz spool last for ages, there is enough for many shock leaders especially if you keep losing them in the sea, this is the best way to buy it.This shockleader is strong, never had broken on me. Its knot strength is perfect. It had very little stretch so it's perfect for field casting also. I choose this colour because when I lose a rig the bright orange leader will help me find it on the next low tide. 98% of the time I manage to find it.I also get this stuff in clear for the Rig body of my own made rigs, again, has very little stretch, strong, and great knot strength. Have used before

This is a good line and suits most of my beach fishing, it has good knot strength and is visible in poor light conditions, having used it on my daiwa slosh 30 on some rough beaches on the east coast it passes my tests. Casting it copes well with various styles of casting, I have now put it on my fixed spools I am that confident in it. Overall I will be getting more.

Great line and very strong I yse it as shockleader and for making rigs excellent knot strength to highly reccomended

Admittedly, this is a fairly hard spool to get the hang of in terms of setting up rigs and tying knots. However, once you do get there, it's extremely satisfying; just put together a little flatfish rig with it. It takes time to set up but is assuredly tough once fully secured.
