This is a Heavy Duty, Extra Wide Aluminum Tape that is 2.9 Inches Wide and 55 yards (50 meters) Long. We have designed this aluminum foil tape with the needs of our customers is mind, providing extra width for easier and stronger connections between air ducts and intake/exhaust fans, air ducts and air cooled reflectors, HVAC connections, etc. If you installed air ducts before, then you know that width plays a big role when connecting ducting, an extra inch in width can make a lot of difference and save you a lot of time on your installation. This foil tape uses a strong acrylic adhesive and is suitable for permanent installations.

Just good enough, maybe
My dryer vent has a long run, and thus has a booster fan. I bought this tape to retape the fan, when I disconnected it for cleaning. The tape seems to be OK, but not up to the quality of the original tape.[The old tape was printed "Venture Tape UL181B-FX 1580 Mastiktape". This tape had foil with a rubberized sticky backing, fairly thick. Once removed, it was not really reusable. The foil on it tended to tear on removal, etc. However, it had stayed in place well since our condo was built 3.5 years ago. I suspect it would not be quite as easy to work with as the Terrabloom tape, but it had plenty of quality in reserve.]The Terrabloom tape is foil with adhesive backing, and therefore much thinner than the Venture Tape. It comes adhered to non-stick paper. Getting the paper removal started is not bad, but the foil tore diagonally while removing my first strip. More care the second time; when I removed the last of the paper, the foil immediately curled up and stuck to itself. Remedy on further strips: leave the end of the paper attached until you get the strip partially installed. (I used strips a little longer than enough to go around the pipe.) Once I got these issues under control, installing the Terrabloom tape was fairly easy. So long as it stays up there, it should be fine, but there seems to be little extra to the quality. The 2.9" width of the Terrabloom tape seems to be the minimum for taping 3" or 4" round ductwork.

Waste of money
Utter garbage. Doesn't stick to ANY surface applied to for very long (metal, heat shielding, insulation backing, even other strips of it). The first 8-10 feet didn't even have any adhesive on the back, another 2-3 feet had spotted bits of it before reaching any that would work as tape. Tears way too easily, even when peeling off the backing (halfway through a strip, a tiny corner tear grows into a large angled rip). I likely used too much to return so am trying to layer it enough to come close to the last roll I bought at Home Depot. Don't waste your money. Also, as it's not in the listing: Made in China.

Not worth the few bucks in savings...
I knew this tape was not in the original packaging, however, this tape roll was mangled and the metal was creased along one edge. Don't waste your money to save a buck, it's not worth it!

NOT FOR FREE
crap - as thin as any tape that tears, folds or does other things other than what you want it to do. The only thing this is good for is throwing in the trash.

The foil does not stick to the surface of my HVAC unit to create a seal. All the air pressure makes the foil tape come off. I did a 6 in. Wide wall around the air leak to seal it but does not adhere to the HVAC unit.

NOT very Heavy Duty!
Although it's called 'Heavy Duty' it is very thin and tears very easily as you try to separate it from the paper backing making it very difficult to get pieces long enough to be usefull. I had to waste almost as much as I used. Luckily I didn't need that much!
