Buy The Turkish Cookbook: The Culinary Traditions & Recipes from Turkey Illustrated by Dagdeviren, Musa, Glanville, Toby (ISBN: 9780714878157) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Very highly reccomend - We have purchased this book for 3 times now to gift it to people who are interested in Turkish food. Musa Dagdeviren is an amazing cook and he done a great job putting this amazing book together. As a former Turkish chef I definitely recommend it to anyone. You can see the episode that features him on Netflix. He also has great restaurant in Istanbul-Kadikoy called Ciya, if you ever visit you must eat there. Review: Can’t praise it enough - This book is over 400 pages of culinary heritage. Not only its such a steal for the price (had books half the size for double the price that didn’t even come close), you also get the author’s hard work, memories and expertise on every single dish. This is so much more than a cookbook, it goes above and beyond to explain the traditions, region, seasonality and so much more in each and every dish. The author themselves is an acclaimed pioneer in his area contributing to Turkish cuisine and keeping original traditional recipes and practices alive. If you love this book you should also watch the author’s Netflix documentary on Chef’s Table to understand how far he went to create this book. Thanks for sharing your stories and putting this book together Musa. I consider this book as the bible for Turkish cuisine.

Encyclopaedia of Turkish Cusine
A treasure trove for Turkish cusine with over 550 recipes. Hard to choose which one to start with and Once you are started hard to stop cooking from it. Second addictive cookbook this year after Yotam Ottolenghi’s Simple. Clear instructions and internationally available ingredients, great for the home cook. All recipes have their origins and information about regional variations. I have cooked a few dishes from it and they were all delicious. Especially the green almond tzaziki was a great hit with the short season of it coinciding with the release of the book. Looking forward to trying the recipe for the famous street food midye dolma stuffed mussels which looks straight forward to cook at home.

Book review
Book contains basically any recipes but it’s difficult to understand at times how to put in practice recipes unless you are familiar with Turkish food. Exceptional binding considering the price and very nice pictures .

Beautifully written, great recipes
This cookbook is outstanding!!! I am Turkish myself and can confirm the recipes are authentic, wholesome and just like my grandmother’s. I have already made 6-7 dishes and they have all turned out so tasty. Musa simplifies all of the instructions and provides backgrounds to the dishes. Easy to follow, beautifully put together and the book itself is well made. I will treasure this for many years!

Incredible selection of recipes from many places in Turkey
This is the best Turkish recipe book I've seen! And I'm saying this being a Turkish with an interest in recipe books. This book provides incredible selection of recipes from all regions in the country. At the beginning of each section there is an informative text about the culture. Very well curated and designed. I hope they will translate it into Turkish too!

Excellent Cookbook
Bought as a Christmas gift for my partner. We visit Turkey every year and love the food and the culture. We've been looking for the perfect cookbook for years but haven't found anything with a variety of authentic dishes. This one is HUGE! There are so many recipes in this book. There's an excellent key which shows which recipes are one-pan, less than 5 ingredients, dairy free, gluten free, vegan, less than 30 mins. There are also explanations about the origin of the recipes and the area where they come from which is a nice touch. He has a big pot of stock on the job now in preparation for a traditional lamb dish tomorrow. He has already said that it is his favourite gift this year!

Huge book stuffed with recepies
I was surprised by the size of the book, its stuffed with recipes. Most are described in brief almost shorthand manner to save space and add more recipes in. The staple dishes are more detailed and come with pictures. In the era of the internet you can easy google shorter less detailed recipes to learn how to make them. It comes with two bookmark strings (big plus). It is great addition to my culinary bookcase.

Great book their are a LOT of recipes. Even I as a Turk was shocked at how much things there where. I live outside of Turkey and this book has not only recipes I know, but also recipes I never heard of. Sadly there aren’t much pictures of the food, but it’s understandable with how big the book is. You can just search on your phone for pictures, because the Turkish names are also written. Also the book looks beautiful!
