Q: Can i put this in my 2500 gal. Outdoor pond?

Yes! However if you live in an area where the surface over the pond can freeze over the winter months, I would advise to look for a more hardy fish such as a reticulated hillstream loach as those fish are much more tolerant of cold water temperatures.

Q: If I put these fish with my turtle will they get eaten?

These are very shy fish, they tend to be more active at night and unlike some of the more lively fish, these will try to blend in and camouflage themselves to throw off potential predators instead of swimming away, these plecos like other members of the catfish species have a sharp spine along their dorsal and lateral fins, these are meant to ward off being swallowed by predators. Avoid putting these plecos with potential predators like turtles, as these are much smaller than the common pleco and because of those spines, they could harm your turtle, should it try to eat them. TLDR, if your turtle sees them and thinks it can eat them, they will go for it.

Q: Will this catfish attack my betta fish?

No, they are generally not aggressive unless other fish tries to nibble at their algae wafers. Since Bettas are carnivorous, they likely won’t bother each other.
