Quite informative book for anyone looking to get into owning Cockatiels. These birds are wonderful, and are so much more than simply "starter birds" (which unfortunately makes them sound like "throw aways," which they absolutely are not). Cockatiels are very friendly and loving, and quite entertaining. This book really covers a lot of areas, and is very descriptive. Well recommended.

It was very easy and entertaining to read. I was especially excited to read about things that I saw my bird doing - so I understood him more. I've had smaller birds, finches and parakeets, but never owned a larger bird like a cockatiel. There is a world of difference. A friend gave me Bella because she is going blind and felt unable to care for him. He is awesome! I love the interpersonal interaction. But there has been MUCH to learn. This book has really helped me and in so doing, has helped him.

This book is great for new (and old) Cockatiel owners. It has very good information on overall care, things that are important to teach your tiel, and common diseases-what to look for and how to handle them. It is very easy to understand, so it would be a great pick if your child wants to get a tiel. Don't hesitate to buy this. It also includes excellent links on societies, clubs, and how to find a vet in your area.

This is a wonderful little book. It's a bit smaller in size than I expected, but it's still a great book. It's informative and to the point. It's not too detailed, just gives you the basics on taming, breeding, and basic household care for a cockatiel.

Was a gift to a friend. She liked very much. Book was most helpful in taking care of her 2 new cockatiels.

I'ts a good basic book to read I think. I didn't know anything about cockatiels until I read this book so I can't be a great judge, but after reading this book I would personally say It's good and straight forward without being complicated and you will get a basic knowledge about how to raise them and enjoy them.

This is a very good book. Though I wish that it went into more detail about the over all price. I am yet to get a cockatiel but I hope to be soon!

This book tells you everything you need to know about cockatiels! It tells you what to feed you cockatiel, what size if cage you will need, how train him, and how to pick out a healthy cockatiel, and much more! It even discusses colour mutations! It's really worth the money!
