If you ask me, that's pretty expensive for a cup of coffee you make at home! Here's the longer story, done (slightly) shorter... If you've ever tasted a Nespresso Kazaar capsule, you've tasted the single most delicious cup of espresso that you're likely to ever have - AT HOME. If you think you're likely to replicate that with any other brand, I wish you the best of luck and happy hunting. Fact is, the Nespresso capsules have achieved something that none of the rest have been able to replicate - YET. Smoothness and richness of flavor without that burnt, over-roasted taste that you so often find with many espresso blends. I can tell you without any hesitation, if you've never had a Nespresso capsule, you will think these taste AMAZING. But this isn't a Nespresso capsule review, it's a Bestpresso review for the 01, 02, 03, 04, 06 & 07 capsules. There are very minor differences in all 6 of these roasts, but one thing remains constant throughout all of them. There is a pervasive over-roasted flavor, that I'm assuming is there to give you the impression of a more sophisticated blend. I can assure you that you will not mistake these for a ripoff of the Nespresso branded coffees. I can however tell you, the differences between the blends are so minor, that you may not be able to distinguish one from the other. With all of that said, I have brewed the Bestpresso espresso capsules with the proper amount of water, the lungo capsules with the proper amount of water and the ristretto using the Nespresso recommended 15 second brew-time. I can tell you without any hesitation that there is an AMAZING crema on every single blend. I can tell you without any hesitation that every capsule I've used (over 20 at this point) has brewed consistently, producing the same quantity of coffee each and every time. I've had no stuck capsules, no false starts, no under-pours either. If you are looking for a budget friendly, fresh cup of espresso, that not only tastes great but also gives you a great buzz, you will love this coffee! For completeness, I am using a 2017 model Nespresso Inissia by DeLonghi - AND I LOVE IT! I came from an unsatisfying Keurig 2.0 environment and can't even THINK about having another cup made by that thing. I can tell you with a high level of certainty, the bad reviews for Bestpresso capsules were more than likely made by coffee-snobs or serious connoisseurs of gourmet coffees. Those people should stick with the $3,000 double-boiler machines. If all you want is an excellent cup of espresso, and you're not out to compare every sip with every other type/brand of coffee in the known universe, Bestpresso's Gourmet Coffee Capsules will make you very happy! I will definitely be buying these again... Happy Sipping! ^_^ UPDATE: I've now been through more than 90 capsules and I can assure you that every single cup you make will be as fresh, aromatic and correct sized as the first! The other thing that I want to go on record as saying, is I've been through the 16-pack of samples that Nespresso gives you when you purchase the Nespresso and only 3 of them were EXCELLENT. The other 13 all had a bitter-Starbucks type of flavor. If you don't like the bitterness in Starbucks coffee, you'll love the Bestpresso capsules. With that said, the Arabica blend (#03) is the only one with ANY bitterness and it's very minor. I still stand by my original review 100% and will continue to buy these as long as the price is right! :)

Great Espresso coffee pods option. Makes tasty espresso in my Phillips Lor Barista machine. Also, this is a better option over the many higher priced brand names - especially if you're (like me) not overly picky about your coffee brands - and just want a decent tasting espresso. I routinely use 2 pods to fill a glass mug with two 8oz cups and then drop in a couple of ice cubes, and that's the perfect brew for me.

If you have an older, original Nespresso pod machine, these are a decent substitute for the pricier Nespresso offerings. Maybe not as finely flavored as the Nespresso pods, but good enough for me and the family of coffee junkies. The pods are aluminum and the Bestpresso offers free recycling bags just like Nespresso, adding to the value. I do tend to chug my morning Nespresso brew as I hop on my noble steed (bicycle) before heading to work, and I drink it plain, with probably questionable taste buds, so forewarned. I do sip my in the afternoon on the weekends, and it tastes fine. Not as good as a pull from my Rancilio Silvia, but good enough when I'm lazy. The rest of the family likes Bestpresso, even if they do adulterate it with all sorts of vile flavorings and sweeteners. The wife really likes the vanilla flavored pods, although they have not been in stock for all of 2024 it appears. Highly recommended, especially if when Amazon offers coupons with Subscribe and Save the pods can be had for even less. I also alternate ordering directly from the company (adding on the recycling bags) with their shipment service, depending upon the current deal from Amazon.

Amazing deal!!!! I found this coffee capsule to be such a great deal and a wonderful addition to my morning routine. It’s so convenient to make a quick cup, and the aroma instantly brightens up my day. The flavor is smooth and rich, just what I need to start the morning right. I really appreciate the quality for the price — it feels like a small luxury at home. I just wish they offered discounts more often, because I’d love to keep these stocked up in my kitchen all the time. Highly recommended for coffee lovers who enjoy both convenience and great taste!

DO NOT GET THESE. These are NOT good. I am not a coffee snob at all - I am usually completely happy and content with the Starbucks brand of coffee capsules. I was about to be out of coffee and the Starbucks capsules would not be here in time so I decided to try something new after a chat GPT query - this brand popped up. I clicked on reviews and read a very long and thoughtful review raving about how good these are so decided to purchase and ignore all the negative reviews. Poor decision on my part. The taste is not good at all. The smell is not good. There were a lot of grounds in my coffee cup and THERE IS NO OPTION TO RETURN. I now have so many coffee capsules that I won’t be using and have no way to return. Do not buy.

Great product, high quality and wide selection. Best recycling in the business. For $1.00 dollar each they will send you a postage pre-paid bad to recycle these aluminum capsules. I wish all vendors and coffeemakers did this. The competition charges $22.00 per bag for the plastic "K" cups. Very highly recommended, almost enough to get me to stop using plastic K cups.

I have been giving all the 3rd party pods I come across that offer decent savings (so 60 cents/pod or less) a shot for couple years now, and these are second off brand I have found that are worth buying. So far for me there are only 3 types of pods worth buying: Nespresso (if you're feeling spendy and want flavour variety), President's Choice (if you just want consistency at a lower price), and these. The best endorsement I can offer of these is that a week after the first order arrived, having tried the flavours, I'm placing another order to increase my stock pile. Pros: - Value is #1, these are the lowest cost pods that make what I would call a legitimate espresso worth tasting. - The physical build quality of the pods themselves is very good, no issues and so far no duds. At times the flow is slower than you would want to see, but if you let it run then at the end the resulting coffee is still good. - All 6 flavours in this pack taste good to me, in fact if you stood them up against a lot of the Nespresso flavours, it's 50/50 whether you might prefer some of these in my opinion. "Better" is a matter of personal taste, but there is enough good flavour in these for it to be a competition. Most cheap 3rd party pods are mediocre or worse coffee. Cons: - Having only the option to order variety packs is a serious issue for me. At some point it's going to feel silly ordering 100 pods that aren't my favourite in order to get 20 that are. - I wish there was more variety between the 6 flavours, they're all very "safe" and sort of middle of the road profiles. I prefer stronger coffee and more distinct flavours that you get with single origin options. But to be reasonable, this is what you would expect for such well priced pods, the taste to cost ratio here is incredible.
