This is a first class and excellent book and one I would highly recommend for anyone wishing to learn about Art Nouveau from the basics. Duncan covers all aspects of Art Nouveau - graphic arts, painting and sculpture, architecture, jewellery making and furniture. I have found it enormously helpful as well as easy and interesting to read. The split on illustrations is about - half and half with perhaps slightly more black and white but all worth seeing.

The book offers enough information about Art Nouveau, but no many high quality pictures. It is understandable because the book was published before digital era.
