Great Value & My Hair LOVES Them
Personal Background: Hair Type: super fine silky hair - NO volume on top of my head Amount of Hair: VERY full head of hair, as in I have a ton of hair, but each strand is very thin Hair Texture: varies (if I air dry it's wavy/has a little curl / if I bush periodically when wet it dries mostly straight / if I kink it a bunch while drying it has light curls midway down my head) Hair Color: Dirty/Golden blond Hair Length: Long, hangs about 8 inches below my shoulder So, I used to use elastics with the fabric coating the band (pretty standard hair ties). Scrunchies, though they would leave less kinks, did not keep my hair together (my hair just slipped right out) and hair rubber bands DESTROYED my hair every time I removed them (despite being designed to come out of hair, I would lose a good amount in the battle because the fine strands just LOVED getting stuck). The soft fabric ties you use on kids(the ones with no rubber band in them)? those did not stay in, but at least they didn't hurt to remove. That really left me with the regular hair ties. For years I had to buy multiples packs a year because they never lasted long (would either snap on me, or the elastic got too stretched out. Because my hair has a silky texture, I had to wrap my hair pretty tightly (to the point of always hurting my fingers when putting up my hair) Aside from the constant hair tie replacing and loss of finger circulation when putting on, I would always get the worse hair kinks. If I wore my hair up for one day, I had to wear my hair up everyday until the next time i washed my hair. The kink was THAT bad. (note on myself: I'm pretty big on my hair care/health, so I would never straighten my hair to remove the kink, and try to only wash my hair a few times a week and use dry shampoo between washings- this could attribute to my hair type) THEN, one glorious Christmas my sister got me the weirdest hair tie as a gift. I have never seen a hair tie that looked like a coil before. She said it was big in Asia and I decided to give it a go (because why not?) It was a weird transition, but one that was surprisingly life changing. The coils in the tie helps keep my hair up by catching the stands that want to weasel their way out, and I did not have to bind my hair as tightly. Because I did not need to wrap the tie so many times round my hair, I got less of a hair kink. I can now wear my hair up one day then wear it down the next. That's how much the tie made a difference. On top of that, they are surprisingly durable. I received a two pack of clear coil ties, and have been using them for 8 months. The only reason I purchased these is because I left one at work (I've been working remotely since COVID hit, and I don't want to drive 45 minutes each way to retrieve a hair tie) and the other one is getting pretty stretched (fun fact, unlike regular hairties, these coil ties are almost as strong stretched out as they are new - I just have to wrap the tie around my hair a few extra times, but they still work like a charm!). I wanted to have some backup ties, and I liked having a few other colors. If I'm going out, I'd rather use a coil closer to my hair color than a clear shiny one. Now, that is my review on coil ties in general (10/10). My thoughts on this particular brand of hair coils? So far I've used them daily for a little over a week, and the products seem relatively comparable. They have not stretched out yet, and they hold my hair just as well as far as i can tell. My only note is that, since working from home, I don't try to get my hair up as nicely. Instead of a high pony tail or a bun, I've been wearing my hair mostly is low hanging loose ponytails. Most of my thoughts on this tie, and the reason I rated it 5 stars, is because I love this type of hair tie, and it acts the same as the ones I've used in the past. I also felt this pack was a great value, offering multiple hairties in a variation of colors for a reasonable price ($8 may seem high for hair ties, but as previously mentioned these things will last for the long haul). UPDATE: I tried binding my hair in a high ponytail, and the coil did stretch out a bit in the process. The coil is still plenty usable, but I don't think they will last quite as long as the previous product I used. However, I still consider this product worthy of five stars, because the price for the amount of hair coils received is still a bargain. I anticipate these coils lasting me a good year, despite the mild stretching I already noticed in one coil (have not needed to use any of the other coils yet) I uploaded a picture to show current hair coil status. The clear coil is the one I received last December (8 months of daily use - often used to bind my hair in a high ponytail, so a lot of strain has been put on the coil) The black coil is the one I've been using for about 2 weeks of daily use (mostly binding my hair loosely in a low ponytail) The brown coil has not yet been used and came in the same pack as the black coil (can see how much the black coil has stretched out over 2 weeks of use) I estimate getting about 6 weeks use out of each coil if I rotate between high ponytails (hair bound tightly) and low ponytails (hair bound loosely). Last side note, because I always look for this when I read product reviews, I write reviews randomly. I usually only comment on products I've personally used and have strong opinions on (I don't write reviews on things I buy for others, or items I am indifferent on. I mostly rate books I've read because I think it's good for authors to get feedback on their work & items i really love/dislike)

LOVE these hair ties!!
I have been trying to implement less damaging/pulling factors to my hair because I have had so much hair loss in the past few years. I used to use spiral hair ties but stopped because of the ones I used just being not good, they stretched and wouldn't return back to the normal size, and when I say stretch, I mean REALLY stretch. These ones do stretch, but when they are taken out they typically return to almost the normal size. I also want to say I have not thick hair by any means, but these do an amazing job and keeping my hair secure. Definitely recommend!

Great hair ties.
This is my third time purchasing these. They work well in my thinner blonde hair and hold a great ponytail or bun. I prefer these over the regular elastic bands. They last forever. With the set of them, keeping track of them is probably the hardest part but I can usually have just one set for 1-2 years. Usually lose them or have 2-3 eventually break at the fusion point.

Great hairties (especially for headaches), but 2 ties arrived with damage to color
Everything about these hair ties is great and exactly as expected! I have thick but shorter hair, and these hair ties work great and don't fall out even though I don't have long hair! Very stretchy and even shrink back down to their original size after taking them out of your hair. I noticed immediately how much less tension I felt as soon as I used one of the ties. I mostly purchased these because scrunchies give me horrible migraines, but I still need to put my hair up for working and washing my face. So they're a great compromise if you get tension headaches very easily like me! The colors are also really cute, especially the clear glitter ties. However, I did have one issue right out of the box, which made me take off one star. After removing the ties from the plastic container, I noticed that two of the ties had very noticeable dark, black marks all over them. The two ties that were touching the black ties in the box were the ones with this damage. Obviously the black ties bled all over the other ties near them. This makes two of the 8 hair ties quite unattractive and undesirable to wear out because they look gross and dirty. (I will probably have to keep them as at-home hairties, but they're not cheap hairties so I'd prefer them to not have damage.) Since these aren't a cheap pack of like 30 ties, having 2 of 8 arriving damaged is pretty irritating. I'm not sure if others had the same issue as me, but I wanted to bring it to attention. Luckily they still function as hair ties, but the bleeding of the black is NOT subtle so it's going to be very visible when I wear these, which is a bit upsetting. They need to take precautions when packaging their products to avoid issues like this. Also, for the black to bleed that much, I'm hoping the black ties don't bleed or rub off on anything else...just some caution for other shoppers. I can't really do anything about this without sending them back and risking it happening again if I got a replacement, so I'm just going to keep them. Overall, it's not impacting the fact that they function perfectly, just irritating to have a more expensive product arrive with a very visible defect. Hope this helps!

The Kitsch Spiral Hair Ties are a game-changer for anyone who wants to keep their hair in place without the hassle of dents or creases. These coil hair ties are made from a flexible, durable material that grips your hair securely without pulling or tugging, making them ideal for all hair types, from thick to fine. The spiral design not only looks cute but also helps to evenly distribute pressure, reducing the risk of hair breakage. They’re comfortable to wear throughout the day and won’t slip or leave those annoying lines when you take them out. Better quality than dollar store…
I disagree that these hair ties are ‘dollar store’ grade. I have some from the Dollar store and they do not stay in my hair. These are good quality, small enough in diameter to hold your hair without being too small. I have thick hair but when it is straight it seems thinner. These ties stay in when it’s semi-curly or straight. I put three types of ties in my review- the shiny one (leopard print) and dark brown are dollar store, the middle (lighter tie) is this brand. The darker brown is too wide in diameter and you have to twist it four times to keep it in and it pulls your scalp; the shiny one is thicker material and just slides right out. This brand stays put. Would definitely buy again.

Thin and a little flimsy
So thin! These hair ties are effective in putting my hair in a ponytail but they are tight so a little painful to wear on my wrist and the coil part is so thin and flimsy! A little disappointed.

My go to hair ties—for years!
I’ve been using this product for years and am still satisfied with it. I was searching for a good hair tie that holds my hair in place, and this hair tie does its job fantastically. It looks small when first received but stretches out a lot, making it possible to even hold my hair done in a bun. It may loose its original shape but nonetheless holds my hair well enough. If it’s too stretched, giving a warm soak helps to shrink back to some point but not completely—however, although a little stretched, it still holds my hair well so I never had problem with it. It does snap at some point so it’s not permanent. My first purchase was in 2021, and reordered them in 2024, so one pack lasted about 3 years(some snapped, some got lost). A dollar for a hair tie may seem pricey but when thinking of its performance and how long it lasted, I would say it’s great value and will definitely come back when my current pack snaps.
