I received this phone on 8/5/15 and returned it on 8/8/15. I returned it because It would not hold a charge for more than a couple of hours. When I first got the phone I fully charged it. I removed the phone from the charger and used it for about 2 hours. I made 2 short phone calls. The remaining time was spent for initial set-up of the phone. I tried to use the phone the next day and it was dead. I could not turn it on. When I got home, I charged the phone again for a couple of hours and took it off of the charger. The battery indicator showed that the phone was fully charged. I tried to use it later that evening and the same thing happened. I couldn't get it to turn on. A friend looked at it and he couldn't get it to turn on either.I think that it would be helpful to mention the following: (1.) The phone did not come with an original HTC battery. The battery did not have the HTC logo on it. There was a small "down" arrow on the battery, which indicated how to insert it into the phone. There was no writing on the battery to tell who made it.(2.) The phone did not come in an HTC Droid box with the Verizon logo. The phone came in a grey box that had the letters "HTC" on it, but the letters were not vivid, or of good quality.(3.) The phone did not come with an owner's manual. There was a card inside the box that stated to check the Manufacturer's website for warranty information, how to operate the phone, etc.(4.) The phone did not come with an authentic HTC Droid Verizon charger. The letters "HTC" were on the charger, but it was not the same charger that comes with the HTC Droid phone from Verizon. I know this because, the plastic bag that the charger came in had a tag on it that was written in a foreign language, (I presume Chinese). The charger and cord where white. The HTC Droid Verizon charger that comes in the box with a new phone is black.I paid for a new HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE 6410 8GB Verizon cell phone. However, I am skeptical based on the box that the phone came in, the lack of an owner's manual, the battery that did not have the HTC logo on it, the charger, and the bag that contained Chinese writing.

Ideal Stand-in
I had the misfortune to leave my Samsung S5 on top my vehicle at the airport one evening when returning from a business trip. Needless to say, when I did find my phone it was in multiple pieces after being driven over several times. This left me in the middle of a contract with no phone. :-(Went online searching for a low-cost replacement to get through my contract. So far, this one seems to fill the bill. It has pretty much the same android features as the S5. It does have three noticeable areas where it lacks in comparison. The battery life is no. 1. You pretty much have to keep it on a charger most of the time. If you turn off wi-fi it helps tremendously. When you're away from your home, the wi-fi searching is a battery killer. No. 2 is that it's slower than the S5 in responsiveness. It's not bad, it's just noticeable. The other is the size. It's a little smaller. This could also be a plus. Depends on your point of view. All in all, I find this a very acceptable replacement to use during my contract period. It was relatively inexpensive. I got a "like new" used one for $80+. If you happen to find yourself in my circumstance, I could definitely recommend this as a solution.

Great upgrade to a smart phone
I upgraded from a palm pixi phone on page plus cellular. I had to upgrade to the 1200 plan which I wanted to do anyway. This phone is leaps and bounds above the palm pixi which was pretty basic. I love the camera-8 MP! The photos are really good viewing on the phone or placed on social media but haven't tried prints yet. The zoom in feature of the camera isn't as clear, so I don't zoom in often. For someone that does not need top of the line, this phone is great for someone like me that is upgrading to a smart phone, but wants a better camera and beautiful screen. I notice the price has gone up since I bought mine, however.Update: After 5 months of working great, this phone has apparently died. I got a white screen with something like safe mode or a boot menu. I contacted the manufacturer and because it is older (I bought it new) they can't do anything-also the warranty is invalid since I didn't buy it from them or from a cell phone company. However, I called Amazon and they will make it right for me, so overall I am very happy, especially with Amazon!

Decent phone
I bought this phone primarily because I did not want to have to renew my contract with Verizon and lose my unlimited data as well as the ability to jump ship if I so decided. In this sense, the phone is well worth the money. Though this phone came out at about the same time as the phone it replaced for me (a Motorola Droid RAZR), Android seems to have forgotten about it. It came with the version of Android known as Ice Cream Sandwich whereas my RAZR had Jellybean. It additionally had the HTC Sense overlay included, which I am not particularly a fan of--I prefer a close-to-stock Android experience. Once rooted and given a new ROM, though, it functions really well. Decent battery life. Note that this phone (as well as other HTC phones, as I understand) are not particularly easy to root-you can't use a one-click rooter to root this phone.
