SandicastBorder Collie Sculpture, Sitting, Small Size,Black

Bought this as a gift for my parents, who own a Border Collie. They were absolutely thrilled! My mother said it can be hard to find Border Collie themed items in catalogs or stores, so she was surprised that I had been able to track this down. (Of course, Amazon has everything!) Surprisingly many ornaments that feature animals or people are weird if you look closely at the features, and this totally avoids that problem. Cute from afar or up close. Only caution is that it's probably too heavy to hang on a Christmas tree because of the sand cast material (which is a bit like stone, more solid than plastic but also much heavier). But great for display on a mantel, table, or similar.

Our 'hairy brother' after 14 years passed away this May, broke our hearts something fierce. Christmas was his favorite time, so I wanted a figurine that would go into my nativity set to represent a new four legged angel. This figurine is perfect--the detailing is actually beautiful and there is the intelligent 'border collie' smile on the little face. I am so very happy with how it looks--and would buy it again instantly if I lost it. WELL worth the money. It looks amazing.Makes me both sad and happy seeing it--I am glad that I bought it. Makes for a fitting representation of Stars.

It doesn't seem of collectable quality, but I bought this to paint to resemble my dog and turn into a Christmas ornament, for which it is perfect.

Bought this for a friend whose dog passed recently and she loved it. She said it looks so much like her dog that she is enjoying having it around as a reminder.

I loved this piece as soon as I opened it. The weight is substantial and his eyes were beautiful. It was a gift and the recipient loved it.

Love him, had to repaint his white to my liking

I love this pup. We put up a memorial for our daughter of 54 years who passed away from breast cancer two years ago.We put it on the bench next to the statue of a little girl on a concrete bench reading a book. She loved her border collie, panda. She would love this one. She's beautiful. Very well done. We love amazon prime.

Unfortunately, the ornament I received doesn't look like the picture. The ornament I received is black and...brown? tan? or white that rolled around in mud?? Even the nose has black mixed into over half of the right side of it. My dog looks pretty much exactly like the picture, with distinct black and pure white, in the same areas as the picture. I was really hoping that it would have been more accurate, especially for $30!!Edit: I ended up re-painting the white areas myself. Looks much better now!
