New missions, heroes, miniatures and...Boba Fett?
First: Let me get some important information out of the way. This is an expansion for Imperial Assault, do not buy this without having the main game. Also, as I have yet to play the Skirmish mode of Imperial Assault, this will be completely from a Campaign viewpoint. So, what do you get when you buy the Twin Shadows expansion? A quick rundown of the components:10 Plastic Figures12 Map Tiles2 Hero Sheets (with corresponding hero class decks of 9 cards in each)11 Deployment Cards6 Agenda Cards4 Side Mission Cards6 Item Cards9 Imperial Class Cards5 Reward Cards2 Supply Cards3 Command Cards (for you Skirmish players out there)4 Condition Cards (new condition called "Weakened") and 5 Condition Tokens8 Device Tokens (used by one of the new heroes)10 Damage Tokens6 Strain Tokens1 Skirmish Map Sheet2 Shirmish Missions Cards4 Ally and Villain Tokens8 ID Tokens with 24 ID StickersLooks like a lot, right? Well, what does this actually add to the game though?Let's start with the Campaign missions. Twin Shadows adds a total of 6 new side missions that can be integrated into your campaign from the original Imperial Assault box: 2 hero side missions (for the new heroes), 2 Imperial side missions from agenda sets, 1 grey side mission (one of the ones that are randomly selected into the side mission deck at the beginning of the campaign), and 1 green side mission (one of the ones chosen by the Rebels at the beginning of the campaign). It bugs me that 2/6 have to be brought by the Imperial player to get any playtime, and the green side mission is just another way for the Rebels to get Han Solo as an ally. But Twin Shadows also has a way to make this less annoying.Built into the expansion is a mini-campaign which stretches over 4 missions (2 of the missions have branching possibilities just like in the normal campaign) using the new missions. Not only is this a good way to play all of the new missions, it's also less of a time commitment for a group of players. I know getting a group together on a regular basis can be difficult, but the mini-campaign can easily be completed in one or two sessions instead of 6+.The two new heroes are very unique. Biv Bodhrik is a rush in and melee/shoot at you up close kind of character while Saska Teft is a support/long range specialist that will open up many possibilities. Their miniatures are beautiful and look even better when painted. On the topic of miniatures, don't expect Boba Fett or R2-D2 and C-3PO. While they appear in some of the missions, they are represented as tokens in this campaign. Also, your Imperial player will not be able to gain Boba Fett as an ally unless you buy the Boba Fett pack (which would then also get you the miniature). Finally, the Imperial player gets 2 new figure types to join him/her: Heavy Stormtroopers (pack a bit more of a punch than the normal ones and can take more of a beating) and Tusken Raiders. More options are always better!Overall I believe the content that is added to the main game is well worth the price, as long as you have people to play it with. Adding unique Star Wars characters like the droids and Boba Fett make the game feel even more Star Wars-y than before. Increasing the hero pool to 8 means it is less likely for heroes to be picked over and over again, making for a more unique campaign every time, as well as another Imperial class doing the same. If you play the Campaign mode of Imperial Assault, Twin Shadows is a must buy in my opinion.

Great game but be weary of the shipping packaging.
First off, the game itself is great. It's a 5-star product. The content is a nice addition to the base game. I just started playing Imperial Assault recently (after owning the base game for over a year) and decided that I want to own a "complete game" since they stopped making new expansions for it. The negatives have to do with how Amazon ships it. I wish I had taken pictures... I actually bought this game twice from Amazon and had to return it both times. Instead of boxing the game, they shipped it to me in a plastic bag. The first copy I received had no fewer than 3 damaged corners on the game box. I had never experienced that before, so I ordered a replacement item. Again, they shipped the game in a plastic bag and this time, the corners were even more beat-up... plus there was a deep gouge in the bottom of the box itself. The plastic bag itself, was in decent shape both times. I called customer service to see if they could send me another replacement in an actual box vs plastic bag but was told that they don't have a way to request that since these decisions are made at the distribution center. I ended up returning the game again for a refund and ordering it from a different store for a few dollars more.

Great models and solid addition to Rebel skirmish lists
The Wookie Warriors pack is part of the Wave 3 expanion for Star Wars: Imperial Assault. The box includes:- 2 Wookie Warrior plastic miniatures- 1 Regular (Gray) Wookie Warrior deployment card, 1 Elite (Red) Wookie Warrior deployment card, and the Fury of Kashyyyk Skirmish Upgrade- 1 Campign Mission Card to earn the Wookies as allies- 1 new Skirmish Map and the corresponding 2 Skirmish Mission Cards,- 4 Command Cards- 1 rulesheet containing the maps for the skirmish and campaign missions- 4 tokens and stickers for identifying unitsIf you're playing skirmish competitively and like playing as rebels, the Wookie Warriors are great units to fill out your list. For 8 points, you get two hard-hitting brawlers with a combined total of 22 hitpoints. The elites are a little overcosted and don't offer much over the regulars in my opinion, but the regular Wookies alone are powerful and have good health. You can view the deployment cards in the images I've attached. If you're playing campaign, it's not as definite of a buy. If you earn them as an ally in campaign, you will be giving the Imperial player 8 threat, and giving up the ability to add an ally like Luke instead. I don't think it's a bad idea, but they're not as much of a homerun as they are in Skirmish.Overall, I would suggest buying them. The models are cool, and they're really effective in Rebel skirmish lists. I would rank them just behind, if not even with the Rebel Saboteurs as best non-unique units.

A great piece to add to the mercenary forces of Imperial Assault!
I am a huge fan of Imperial Assault! Since picking it up a year ago, I have played about two dozens games of it, and any new piece that comes out for the game is pretty much an instant buy for me. This piece was no exception. This is one of the cooler models to come out for the game. It is very dynamic-looking, and the piece, itself, offers some great new game play options.Unlike most of the models in this game, this one comes in pieces and must be assembled. I found that my model did not fit together as tightly as I would have wanted. When fully assembled (there were four pieces), you could clearly see the joint lines in the model. It's not that big a deal, unless I would want to paint the model some day. In order for me to get a model that looks more life-like, I would need to do something about those lines to fill them in and hide them. Those who plan to paint their models should be aware that there will likely be some additional prep time as you cover up the joint lines.Overall, another great model in the line-up and a purchase I am quite happy with!
