I wouldn’t change a thing about this. It’s hard to wash off the hands, sure, but I found that the Zep workshop hand wash takes it off easily or using a towel. As to its effectiveness, it can’t be beat. It eliminated a stubborn rash I had ENTIRELY, kept the area protected from irritation, and felt totally fine on the skin (no noticing of stickiness or other unpleasantness, personally).

I was recently released from the hospital and after several days in a hospital bed was having some issues with rashes in the groin areas. Because I have a history of pressure sores, I began looking for something I could use that would take care of it. After reading some articles, I settled on Balmex Adult Care Rash Cream. This arrives in a 12-ounce tub. It's a thick, paste-like cream with a key ingredient of zinc oxide at 11.3%. Zinc Oxide is generally regarded as quite effective in dealing with diaper rash or rashes caused by bladder leakage or other soiling. This cream is noted as providing protection, soothing, and healing. It has a very slight scent that I can't really describe, though I don't mind it and it doesn't impact effectiveness as near as I can tell. Balmex also uses botanicals to help neutralize skin irritation, though I'll admit this is where it falls a bit short for me. I've found Balmex extremely effective at protecting and soothing; less effective at actually healing and working with irritated skin. It's still effective, but the healing aspect just seems a notch below to me. Labeling is a little confusing. It says it can be used daily, however, the directions also state to stop use and see a doctor if symptoms persist more than seven days. As a protectant, I can sure see this used every day for adults who are particularly vulnerable to rashes. I really like Balmex, though it didn't quite resolve all my issues. I would definitely use it again. In fact, I will use it again. It's just not quite the cure-all I was hoping for when I purchased it. That said, it's a definite solid performer and particularly good for adults. Very few of these types of creams are specifically made for adults and this is one of the better ones I've used.

I use this on my hands and feet after a long day working outside or sewing. It softens calloused hands very well.

Cannot describe how elated I am with this product and it's cure for my problems with incontinence care. I have suffered through months of the maddening issue of rash, the burning and itching sensations that went along with this. The discomfort and pain. Going through different cream products. Different adult diaper products trying to find one that would not dry my vaginal area out so bad but at the same time keep the wetness from my constant urination and bladder leakage. It was worse than a kid with diaper rash, I even used desitin which did not work or help with any relief. It is hard enough getting old, I guess it is true what they say, we start out as a baby, no teeth, no hair, having to wear diapers and when you get old, you go back to being like a baby again...no teeth, no hair and wearing a diaper! waaah

I was hoping this was more like hydrocortisone cream and not like diaper rash medicine but it wasn’t. Says it’s easy to put on and easy to get off and it was hard washing it off. Will not be buying again.
