Pilates REFORMER Training Manual (Official International Training Manual

Perfect for me
This is the prefect book for anyone purchasing a new reformer for the home, or even for the person still using a teacher on a regular basis. It goes thru a large number of reformer exercises step by step and even tells a teacher what to look for in mistakes when preforming the exercise.I haven't found anything on the book market this inexpensive that even comes close to this instructional book. This book can save you a lot of money on DVD's and hundred dollar plus textbooks, and it can't be beat for what it is intended to do.I would strongly recommend this book for anyone that doesn't have years of experience on the reformer. It really will cut down on the total amount of costly individual instruction you will need, but it won't totally (nor should it) eliminate it.A Best Buy in my opinion.

Not the value for the money I expected.
The writer devoted several pages to her history and qualifications. This book is advertised as the official training manual and just touches the tip of the iceberg of the number of exercises that are possible with the reformer. I expected more.

Yes - I DID buy EVERY one of these!
I was looking for a manual to supplement the Pilates lessons I was receiving; my instructor offered to let me copy HER notes, but I just never got around to do. I purchased this instead, and discovered it was an updated version of the manual she trained with! This is CLASSICAL instruction; if you're more into modern Pilates, then I would not buy this. All of the instruction is provided on Classical apparatus as per Joseph Pilates' original intention. The only thing I would change would be to provide more detailed photographs; the older edition has about 4-5 photos per pose, and this one has about 3 per pose. However, I am not going to deduct a star for it, since it the manual really is intended for those in a Classical training program (not for those who learning on their own).

Unreformed Reformer Book
This is a lame book. Few pictures; limited text. Rael Isacowicz's book is much better. This was lengthy but useless, and added nothing to my Reformer skills. Little detail on actual positions on the exercises; mostly 'cut & paste' formatting that someone could have done on a weekend. As a professional Teacher there was no "transfer of learning" and I would not buy another book by this author.

error in printing-beware
Mine was flawed. Cover said "reformer" but interior material was for Cadillac. I kept it and liked it for the Cadillac where I taught

Good book...
..it covers the bases, tips and modifications. It is not for a novice you should have some pilates experience before using it.

EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I just received my copy of Melinds Bryan's, Pilates Reformer Training Manual and I have to say, it's perfect. The format is easy to read as it guides you through a variety of exercises on the reformer, repetitions, descriptive photos and targeted areas on the body. The details are specific, but to the point. I couldn't be more pleased!Looking forward to additional manuals!

Caro
Por el precio que tenía, pensaba que estaría en mejores condiciones. Y los gastos de envío, para algo que no es precisamente grande, bastante caro
