Wish this was easier to get hold of. This is the only oil i purchase for my family

My mother is a qualified aromatherapist so we are using this safely, I would highly recommend you researching contraindications to any essential oils you may use and to be sensible in how you use them, most cannot be used neat on the skin and some even if diluted in a bath or oil can cause photosensitivity and other problems Eucalyptus Radiata is an alternative to traditional Eucalyptus Globulus which is the scent we are all familiar with, sour green tang that blasts through when we are poorly. Radiata on the other hand is less punchy, slightly citrusy, fruity-sweet but still effective at dealing with colds and sniffles all the way to hacking coughs. It is suggested also that in very low doses this is safer to vaporise or burn around children unlike the regular kind which shouldn’t be used at all though caution should be taken with any essential oil around children. This couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time as we’ve been struggling with a horrid cold that has led to congestion. We have been burning this a eucalyptus in a very dilute ratio with sweet orange and Lavender oils for soothing and it’s helped. Overall this is a nice eucalyptus, fruitier than the Radiata we have from another brand, much more ‘pretty’ a scent than our other and Eucalyptus Globulus certainly!!

A tiny bottle creates a fabulous spa ambience. Quite strong so a little goes a long way and lasts. The only Essential Oil to use for health and well-being.

I sniff eucalyptus oils a lot as I have ongoing sinus issues. This 10ml bottle of eucalyptus oil is 100% purity, so it's strong and untainted. I have several oils made by Puressential. You can sniff this on a tissue or dilute well with a carrier oil to use on the skin. I favour almond oil. A good product and excellent quality.

'Eucalyptus Radiata' - not a spell from Harry Potter, but the name of a fine essential oil. Eucalyptus has long been used as an Aromatherapy source, and this brand of oil - which I use in a diffuser, adding a fee drops to a heated water bowl - is strong but not sickly. We have two dogs, and the diffuser is useful for masking the occasionally over dog smell of some rooms. It's a great refresher and stimulating smell. Not overly costly, either, and I will no doubt acquire others in the Puressential range - very impressive.

This essential oil has a lovely fresh aroma and is wonderful in diffusers. If you have a cold or a stuffy nose, just put a few drops in an incense burner and let the wonderful smell calm you and clear your nose. You can also put a few drops in a bath to refresh you and make you feel better. There are other uses, for example you can add a few drops to massage oil to give you a gentle healing massage. This essential oil is an essential piece of kit to keep in the medicine cupboard, and at just under £7 it's reasonably priced too.

I’m reviewing the eucalyptus aroma here. I use aromatherapy oils all the time with a diffuser to scent rooms, though I normally use the FreshSkin brand which is much cheaper- you can get a 100ml bottle of that for not that much than this 10ml bottle. I’m sure that the organic and natural credentials on this brand are superior, but is it worth paying substantially more for? I’d have to say not really. The aroma is fine- that standard eucalyptus that is forever associated with Vicks and having a cold- but it’s very mild. I found you have to use more drops of this than of the other stuff to get the same overall effect. In a blind smell test (sniffing one bottle then the other with my eyes closed, with the help of my other half), I couldn’t tell the difference between the two. And the odd plastic childproof cap on this bottle is strangely annoying and awkward. Even as a grown-up who’s normally good with childproof caps this was frustrating, as you have to push it down just the right amount and turn in one movement, otherwise it won’t come off. I can understand putting such a cap on medicine but on eucalyptus oil it seems like an unnecessary irritation. It’s a fine, unremarkable scent, and I always find eucalyptus pleasant and this is no exception, but next time I run out of this flavour of essential oils, I don’t think this will be the brand I turn to.
