Like reading Alice in Wonderland for immagrants
A book that has never received the accolades it should have done. Could be true today, if we lift up the corner of immigrants as refugees in a foreign country - its all there. Humour, innocence and above all the resilience of the human spirit.

A masterpiece
This story can’t be summarised in a plot. This is an amazing book, the narrative is poignant, funny, at every page i wanted to earmark because it contained some profound truth about life. It is a shame this is not more widely available. It is one of the masterpieces of our times

One of my all-time favourites
I first read this book in French when I was at university and I absolutely loved it! A friend bought me the English version too, and although a lot is lost in translation, the story is still marvellous! I LOVE THIS STORY! So sad, yet so funny. I recommend it to everyone. Momo is such as character!This book is one of my all time favourites!
