Check out what we did with our ProCom gas logs stove :-)
I just love, love, love these gas logs and look what we did with it. Picture doesn't do it justice. It comes with feet/legs but we didn't in stall them...instead we sat it on these landscape stones, wooden case above it, gave it a cozy feel and look. Definitely get then Remote control so worth it. Heats up our 2000 foot downstairs. This is our first ProCom yet our 2nd set of gas logs and we love it. Quick hot heat with beautiful flames, different settings. Easy to install, use as it comes or create your own look. Light weight and op doesn't get all that hot. Love how open the viewing space is for the flames and that it is behind closed doors.

Just Plain DANGEROUS with NO PROCOM SERVICE AVAILABLE, NONE!
I want to like this heater, my second Procom ventless w/remote. BUT...I have called the Procom tech line a dozen or so times, I have left numerous detailed phone messages, I have emailed them 4 times, again with detailed messages. NO RESPONSE IN 3 MONTHS!! The issue is temperature control. About 2-3 times a week this heater either will not come on or, DANGEROUSLY, WILL NOT SHUT OFF! I have reset it over & over, checked & rechecked the batteries, in control & remote. I have tried the remote in several locations and distances, wall mounted and horizontal. It safety issue is just RANDOM and down right DANGEROUS. We now shut it off before bedtime because twice it was throwing heat, in the middle of the night, with the remote set at 70 and the room at 87 DEGREES! Other times it will be 63-65 degrees room temperature, with the remote set at 72! I understand that there is a 2 degree 'swing' in set temperature, on or off but this is a PROBLEM/FLAW. in the product. The last Procom heater I had (new - 2004) also had an issue from new. Back then I could cal,l Procom and get someone on the phone (but they just 'threw parts at it', new control box, remote, igniter, etc but they never figured out the real problem). I finally found a small wire pinched inside the back panel, obviously done when built. I corrected that and it worked fine until late 2021 when the third control box went out and parts were then obsolete. But at least until that point the heater was reliable and SAFE! This ProCom QNSD250RT SCARES ME and I hope if something happens as a result on this malfunctioning heater, they are still in business when we sue them for lack of post sale service and warranty support.

Nice stove
I just started using this stove which is really nice it looks like a fireplace and it heats up really well in about 20 the house is warm enough to turn it off I haven’t quit figured out haw to make the flame go down to conserve energy but that ok I’ll just turn it off when it’s warm enough I also have a heater in the bathroom I set on low when I just want a little heat but I think I’m going to love it this year if it does get really cold my house is bout 1300 sq ft it also had a remote control for easy on and off

Very Nice Fireplace
This unit is very nice and works well. We've had it just over a month and it has worked perfectly. We have the remote control version and the only thing that was surprising is it needs to be plugged in to operate. There is a battery backup system if the electricity goes off so I suppose you could use that instead of plugging it in. That's probably not too big of a deal since gas logs that go in a fireplace that use a remote only use batteries to operate. Anyway it looks nice and works well. My living room is 32 x 15 with the kitchen open into the living room and this heater has had no problems keeping the area warm.

Procom QNSD250RT Ventless Dual Fuel
I replaced a decorative free standing fireplace made by Procom when it died after more than 10 years, with this unit. I liked that it was Procom and made in the U.S. and hope this one lasts as long as the first one. I wanted another decorative fireplace but this was the only one they had left of any model and I needed a backup right away. It came with a remote control which I thought was ridiculous. At least, I thought it was ridiculous until I used it, and now I'm not sure how I ever did without it. As it happens, this little fireplace earned its stripes when we lost power for 5 days and it kept several rooms comfortable. It was a good purchase and the fact that it looks sort of like an "old timey" wood burning iron fireplace has become a happy consolation to a decorative fireplace. It looks heavy but isn't and although the top gets warm it isn't dangerously warm. The sides don't get warm. Overall, I am very happy with this fireplace. It is lower and wider than the fireplace it replaced but that actually makes the area look more open. If this style can fit the decor in your room, I don't think you can go wrong. The stove is assembled with the exception of the legs, which are easy to attach. I don't know if the flame can be adjusted; I haven't been able to do it but with the remote it's simply a matter of turning it off when it gets too hot.

Great unit - unreliable remote
I purchased this unit in August but was not able to have it hooked up until September. About 1 month in, I have noticed the remote is unreliable when using the automatic temperature settings. Sometimes it fails to turn on the fireplace, but what's worse is sometimes it fails to automatically turn it off when the desired tep is reached. The remote is only about 5 feet away from the fireplace. Other then that, the fireplace is an excellent unit. It throws a lot of heat. The flame is more of a blue flame than it is like what is shown in the pictures. However, it heats well, so no complaints. This would have 5-stars all the way around if the remote was more reliable.
