Nice looking, good quality, better than expected at price. No rough edges, holes align correctly, adjustment screws proper tension (not loose or frozen) would use again

Impressed by the quality and how well packaged this bridge was. Chroming finish is well done and it is machined well with not burrs or pokey spots. The saddles are much nicer than I expected, and the set screws have a ton of travel so adjusting for any radius neck should be pretty easy. Hardware for installation was included. The design of this bridge should make intonation a breeze if positioned properly. I also like the idea of reduced tension on the higher strings for bending into notes. I have a pointy shredder guitar that had the locking tremolo removed and filled. This bridge will be a substantial upgrade when I have time to work on it.

The holes for the string must have been drilled incorrectly. It never really lined up and when I used a scrap body, the spacing was all off. Just not great.

I like Strats, but am not crazy about tremolos. You can block the tremolo with a piece of wood, but that's not quite the same as having a straight hardtail (non-tremolo) bridge on a body designed for one. To that end, here's a nice bridge that looks great and is very reasonably priced. This Ovsal bridge copies the far more expensive Hipshot model; it's designed for the classic strings-through-body configuration. The saddles are surrounded on three sides by the bridge plate, preventing them from moving around too much. I like that, and I like the very attractive gold plating as well. Another nice touch is that Ovsal slips a piece of heavy paper under the saddles, so that the plate doesn't get scratched up during shipment. Overall string spread is approximately 2 1/16 inches, or about 52 mm. The bridge is packed in a ziploc bag and comes with five mounting screws and an adjustment wrench in a separate ziploc bag. Both bags are packed into a small bubble bag, and everything reached me in perfect condition. There are hardtail Strat bridges of similar design available for lower prices. Having examined this one, I can vouch for its nice heavy quality and beautiful appearance. Highly recommended for custom builds or replacement. And, need I add...grab it while it's still this cheap.
