Like others said, it’s a loose twist, and somewhere there is a little China man laughing at everybody that buys it as it takes an hour to get it out of a knot from packaging

I guess it is to be expected, but it took forever to get all the little twists out of the rope (I didn’t “unroll“ it the first time I used it - just pulled it from the end so it was twisted from coming out of a coil). I laid it out to full length (on the ground) and then just worked on reversing the twists for nearly an hour. If I could have dropped it in the water or hung it from something where it would untwist itself it would’ve save me a lot of time but as it was I could not let any part of the rope get too loose or it would start winding itself up like those little rubber band airplanes I played with as a kid. In the process of trying to get it to relax, the big strands separated pretty easily and that worried me at first but when the rope was tightened back up they seemed OK.

I hooked this rope to my Jeep, through a pulley and tied up in a 80 foot pine tree. I cut the pine tree with a three inch hinge and pulled it down with the Jeep from safety. The rope stretched considerably which was good because it kept pressure on the tree while it started coming down. I put quite a bit of tension in this rope In 4wd, I suspect it’s rating is accurate.

Good value and reasonable delivery time for my purposes (cargo net). Getting it to play out from the bundle was impossible and resulted in a huge tangle.
