This is one of the best products I've ever bought. Bacillus coagulans has been demonstrated to deliver mental health benefits (Google the studies) and it has been making a huge difference in that dept. I tried this brand's Gut Restore formula from my local Whole Foods when I was running low and wasn't able to get this one shipped fast enough. That product (Gut Restore) doesn't have nearly as much B. coagulans, and Gut Restore has a lot more other ingredients, some of which I react to (eg peppermint) and the taste made me nauseated. This particular product is amazing in that it is truly taste-neutral. I can use it in sweeter recipes, such as almond milk w vanilla & maple syrup, or savory soups, or sweeter soups like a corn chowder or a tomato/red pepper soup from TJs. There is almost no aroma to the product in the scooper, and the taste is very mild, and even a pleasant addition; it gives a bit of body and depth to the soup or beverage. I will update my review when I have more to say about the structural benefits. UPDATE: So I've been using this product faithfully for over 2 years now. Initially, I did a loading dose at 3x day, because the mental health benefits were spectacular. After about 2 or 3 months, I cut back to 2x day, because the 3rd dose seemed to interfere with sleep. I make sure to have the first dose by 10am and the second by 4-6pm, so it is well on-board by bedtime. Based on the *unplanned* benefits in addition to the mental health improvements, I will be using this 2x day for life. My hair, which was thinning and falling out more frequently, has now grown longer than even since I was a teenager. And my eyelids are repairing themselves; I had a LOT of droop under my eyebrows at the inner eye, and that is now GONE, as if my eyelids have reversed 5 to 10 years of aging. Given the fact that this is so carefully formulated with a broad spectrum of collagen types, and offers b. coagulans (so far, only Thorne has good capsule form), I highly recommend spending your hard-earned cash on this version. Totally worth the money (though I will say, I comparison-shop like a fiend for this product). UPDATE: I now combine this powder with an equal (small) scoop of Ancient Nutrition's bone broth powder in Pacific Foods organic Mushroom Broth. The goal is to boost protein content of a meal into the 25-30 gram range, per Dr Mark Hyman to build muscle. The bone broth powder is hydrophobic--it repels water--electrical charge, i think--has a flyaway tendency. (Update: the manuf. seems to have fixed this. My latest canister wasn't flyaway.) I mix them in a clean, dry mug, using a mini whisk (bought a set of 8 on Amazon) to blend and clear the "corners" at the base of the mug. The collagen neutralizes the charge of the bone broth powder. Using the mini-whisk, I then make a "roux" by adding a tablespoon of mushroom broth and whisk vigorously to consistency of tahini. Finally I add the rest of 2/3 cup of mushroom broth. That way, I get 6 servings from the box of broth and completely dissolved products without big cleanup. The umami factor from the mushroom broth is stellar. I add a little water (1/4 cup?) to the top of my mug, and that makes the concentration of the broth perfect. UPDATE: Awhile back, this product was a life-saver when I endured 2 rounds of doxy following 2 tick bites 30 days apart. (!) The specific bacillus strain helped me stand back from the edge. Because of the gut effects of doxy, I wasn't fully healthy mentally, but I didn't lose my cool and melt down in any sensitive situations. I followed a very disciplined protocol: doxy an hour before a meal with a FULL glass of water (doxy is least likely tick AB to upset stomach), then food after an hour and the collagen powder elixir as a chaser. Tried to buffer the murderous gut effect of ABs with the delay of ingesting the collagen powder. Don't know if doxy/effect is secreted in the gut, but this method helped me hold onto some sanity during what turned out to be 60 days on antibiotics.

I’ve been using this collagen daily for over a year, and I’ve noticed a difference my skin looks better than it did a year ago. I add the chocolate flavor to my morning coffee or use the vanilla in lemon water during the day — both taste great and blend really well. The texture is smooth and not grainy at all once blended. The flavors don’t overpower my drinks, but rather enhance them. What I really appreciate is that this brand includes vitamin C, which is essential for collagen to be effective. With other collagen brands I’ve tried, I had to make sure I was getting enough vitamin C from other sources. Having it already included simplifies one more thing in my life. Overall, it’s easy to use, tastes great.

It’s delicious. I love all the ingredients. I don’t drink my coffee without it. Great for hair, skin improved. It definitely helps with pain in the morning. I do think it’s pricy though, sadly.

Good enough product. Would stir into my coffee. It is a very tasty product. Dissolved easily, However, didn't notice any change in my brittle fingernails. Glad to have at least tried this product.

A delicious way to take collagen supplements. This chocolate powder mixes instantly with liquids (I use milk) and packs 10 mg of 5 sources of collagen in one scoop (20mg in 2 scoops, but I use only 1 daily) I used to use a cheaper, unflavored collagen powder but the smell was so "gaggy", even when mixing with chocolate milk to mask the flavor, that I finally broke down and paid more for Ancient Nutrition brand. You get collagen from 5 sources instead of 2 or 3, and the chocolate flavor is so good. Even the powder smells delicious when you open the can. I'm on my 3rd can and can see a real difference in the thickness of my hair, which has started growing rapidly (!) and the strength of my nails, which are finally growing again. I can only imagine the growth if I used the recommended 20mg dose. But it's a bit pricey at $45 for 20 servings of 20mg, so I'm sticking with the 10mg dosage. I actually bought it for my joints, and can see a big difference in ease of movement, as I'm more up there in years and need all the help I can get.

This Multiple Type Collagen WORKS. Been using it 8 months + and noticed FINGERNAIL, SKIN AND HAIR IMPROVEMENTS AFTER THE 1ST MONTH. MY FINGERNAILS WENT THROUGH 3 THICKENING CYCLES. Currently still in PT for Knee and Back so vouching for its assistance in joint mobility is hard to pinpoint. The Overall Reduction of Swelling, Tightness and Pain seemed oddly noticeable. THIS IS WHY I CONSIDER THIS PRODUCT A NON-NEGOTIABLE in my Daily routine. I recently started to drink a 2-scoop dose in only 4-8 oz of water. Followed by 16-20oz of electrolyte water as hydration. This gets the product where it needs to be...everywhere beyond the Stomach. I do this 3-5 times per week as well as my daily 1-2 servings. THE ONE FACTOR FOR BEST RESULTS IS....DRINK DAILY AND HYDRATE. The Cucumber Lime is Very Good on its own. The non flavored I do buy more of, and I put it in flavored BCAA drinks. Drink this...Move Yourself and Be Happy! ADDING FRESH ORGANIC GINGER ROOT (INDEX FINGER SIZE PEELED), BLEND WITH WATER, STORE IN FRIDGE. POUR 1oz or 2oz in your Collagen drink or in your hydration after to assist in DIGESTION and general well-being.

I’ve bought this 27 times. I mix in my morning coffee before adding liquid coffee creamer without any problems. It has somewhat of a slight creamy aftertaste; however, I’ve become accustomed to it and learned to like it. Although it’s pricey, I’ve done my research and it’s the best bang for your buck. The number of collagens in the container are like no other. Just make sure you read the serving size is TWO scoops. I’ve seen a steady improvement in my skin elasticity and hair growth. My hair stylist noticed the difference and started using it. It was not overnight, but definitely noticeable and consistent. Not sure what has changed. The last two containers I’ve bought have tasted sour. I’ve always mixed the powder in my coffee before adding coffee creamer. The coffee curdles up almost instantly, resembling spoiled milk. I’ve flat out stopped using the last container after a few tries. Very disappointed. NO RETURNS. I’m giving it a 3 star because it was a really great product for a long time. I will not be ordering it for a few months in hopes this issue may be resolved.

This product dissolves in coffee without any clumping. The taste isn't overpowering and the smell is not strong. I can tell a difference in my skin after taking this product for over 1 month.
