I have examined the pieces closely and find them well made and without any defects. They are weighted and fit nicely on my chessboard. I have set them up on our coffee table and anyone would be proud to display them. For my tastes they are a correct size and a pleasure to handle. I don't believe anyone would be unhappy with them and they are worth the price.

Initially I was a little skeptical, as this set is considerably less expensive than competing high-end Staunton sets. I took a chance, anyway, and I'm thrilled that I did. It's beautiful. I have others, but this is now my favorite. There's really nothing bad to say about it. The rosewood is a deep, rich brown with a gorgeous clear, vertical grain. The pieces are beautifully carved with great attention to detail. They feel solid, well-balanced, and just a little heavy, as tournament-type pieces should. I highly recommend the set, and at the price there's just no comparison.

These pieces are heavy and sturdy. My young son has knocked them off of the counter height table more than once. No chips or breaks. Nicely carved and good quality.

The set is fragile, so pach & unpack carefully. The knight are of a simple design, and the black queen is not flat in its base, but the wood is a good quality and the Staunton design is faithful. If you are looking for an affordable wooden set, it's here. Just don't play speed chess with it.

These chess pieces are a real value for an inexpensive price. The finish, weight, and detail is equal to sets costing much more. I would recommend these .

I finally found them! These pieces are the same ones that are used at the professional chess tournaments on the DGT bluetooth boards. Weighted chess set that comes with an extra set of queens. Great value!

These pieces are extremely nice for a really cheap price normally to get pieces like these they cost over 70 dollars,nicely weighted and the black pieces are very pretty!
