Great brewing basket - excellent for brewing large amounts of tea, NOT made in china
Note that I got the 'large' sized. If you want to brew a single cup or smaller batch, the normal or 'medium' sized is probably more appropriate. I bought this when I found out my fiance was buying pre-made tea at the grocery store to take to work. I was horrified at this, since that is pretty darn expensive. Besides, in general pre-made teas made by the major brands taste gross if you ask me. Tastes like chemicals, not like tea. I bought a nice big bag (1 kilo) of tea to go along with this. The idea being - I'll brew a gallon of it, and you take some of that to work every day. The manufacturing of the basket looks excellent. NOT MADE IN CHINA! Made in germany (I confirmed this on the box upon getting it). I was initially considering many of the stainless steel brew balls, but they're all made in china, and after months of use, apparently almost all of them succumb to rusting. I doubt this will be there case here. The quality of the mesh itself is great, it is clearly designed for brewing tea. It is pretty 'flat' or thin if you will. It is gold-coated to keep out any metallic taste or rusting. The mesh is also very fine, I did not notice any rogue pieces of tea leaf getting into what I brewed - even though I poured nearly a gallon of hot water through the basket and tea leaves. The tea leaves I had were quite small, so I was impressed at this. To brew a gallon - I filled the basket nearly full of tea, placed it into the top of gallon pitcher I had (just barely fits), poured in hot water over the tea, and let it sit in the sun for a few hours. Brewed a delicious gallon of tea - with no tea particulate matter escaping. Cleanup was easy - just wash out the tea with your sink sprayer. Note - this is also dishwasher safe! Last note is that the lid makes a nice 'coaster' for the basket itself to prevent dripping when you go to clean it out. For only 10$ - this is a bargain. Excellent quality (not china quality), makes great tea, dishwasher safe.

Finum Brewing Large Basket works good for me with tea
The filter is working out good for me. I have a tea maker and the lid sometimes pops off the container holding the tea and then the tea leaves float out. You know what that means. Tea leaves everywhere. The tea then gets dispensed into a tea pot about 2 cup size. I put the Finum into a single serving cup and pour enough tea in to fill the cup. I have some tea that is very small, no big leaves in it yet the finum filter caught all the fine leaves. That is great. One of the most important tasks of a loose leaf tea infuser is to keep the leaves in the basket. Yet, making single cups of tea is not why I originally bought the filter. I want to make tea in quantity in a pan for my Kombucha. I have yet to do this but I'm pretty sure it will be ok. It should be big enough for a large batch and since it seems to be easy enough to rinse clean I can confidently make multiple batches. Although I have not used the filter much as I just purchased it, it is sturdy. The tea didn't have any strange flavors from the filter. The lid is good and that it doubles as a stand is nice too. I also used the filter in a cup that narrows at the bottom without any problems...The filter fit perfectly. Anyone who makes tea in a coffee size mug should have no problem fitting the filter right in the mug. From my experience with the filter so far I can recommend it. You would want to make sure the screen comes clean or flow could be reduced. There is plenty of room in the large basket for nice fluffy tea leaves. I have a lot of different tea leaves to choose from and this filter could get the best out of them all. I always disliked the tea balls that close in the middle. This filter presents none of the normal problems associated with a tea ball. I have not tried coffee in it but I don't see how it would be any problem. I guess the main thing for you to deal with when using this infuser is the temperature of your water and how you pour it into the filter. And that we all know is not up to the infuser. This is a simple to use filter without many drawbacks. I would like to say I will update with more use but I'm so busy I might not even get reviewed all the products I buy anyway. I'm a happy customer.

Product as advertised. Overall very satisfied. Delivery was prompt, though the box arrived rather crumpled. Item was not damaged, fortunately. Have used it daily over the past two weeks, found it to perform well: easy to wash, ample room for the leaves to infuse, and fits well in a standard coffee mug.

Easy way to make one cup of your favourite filter coffee, I use it most days. I tap used coffee grounds straight into the bin.
