Can't complain about these dishes. Yes, they will chip with rough use or if banged. I expect that as they are not made of plastic. Beautiful designs, colors. Bought the pasta bowls as well and they are the perfect size for salads and pasta dinners. They came well packed in heavy cardboard with pieces in between and numerous sized boxes for the different pieces. The dinner plates are a somewhat "bowl-like" with the first inch or so much higher than the middle section. Great to hold your food in.

I was recently in Mexico and as usual I fell in love with Talvera pottery. It is expensive, but it is hand painted clay that is unique. That said, I did not want to travel home with such heavy dinnerware, and I really was concerned about the overall cost. When I got home I looked up this dinnerware, and the price was even higher, but that led me to this stoneware set that captures the essence of the original pottery, but for a lot less, and it is more durable. I was so happy with these dishes that I have ordered a second set that should arrive today. Can't wait! I highly recommend these dishes! P.S. The coffee mugs are large, but easy to hold. The dinner plates and salad plates are also a little larger than typical. I bought the set that has the deep cereal bowls and love the way the inside is painted!

This is a quality dinnerware set, you will not be disappointed. The pieces are heavy which should help with durability over time. The colors are very vibrant and the artwork is amazing. This set would look very nice on display in anyone’s kitchen or dining room. To our surprise, the complete set arrived undamaged since it was well packaged.

We have been using these dishes daily for six months or more, cleaning them in a high temperature dish washer. They look brand new and so do the large matching pasta bowls we ordered. If I have any complaint, I wish the coffee mugs were smaller. They are tall. We have lots of regular sized mugs we purchased while traveling and we typically use them instead.

Attractive, bright colors, breaks somewhat easily. I dropped one plate (gone) and chipped a bowl. I like the large pasta bowls. The coffee cups are almost too big.

I like the print and colorfulness. Other places have them more expensive. I especially like the large size mugs. The dishes are thick enough so I don't worry about breakage, very sturdy and durible. I would purchase for a very important gift. They've impressed me that much.

I have not purchased dishes in damned near 20 years. And WOW, I sure do like these. Cups are that perfect morning coffee size. The bowls are small, soup size and stew friendly. The plates are not extremely heavy, and yet durable. The pattern is beautiful.

I love it! I live in Mexico 4 months out of the year and when I needed new dinnerware I found this. The price is a fraction of what it would cost to buy the local ceramic ware and is a lot more durable. I have had a lot of compliments, especially since it matches my kitchen tile . Friend think I had it special made.

We picked these beautiful dishes because they reminded us of the dinner ware we saw in Europe. A friend said I was talking a big chance ordering online because of the likelihood of breakage. They were so well packed, not one thing was damaged. We ordered two sets and we love them

I love, love, love this set. This is the second time I have purchased this set, so that I now have enough plates to serve 8 people. Seeing it on my dining table lifts the entertaining experience for me. It’s so bright and summery. I like the slightly deeper plates for when I make dishes with a lot of sauce or gravy. the plates are a nice average size, so they all fit on my not so large table. The side plates are perfect for a light salad or other smaller entrées. I purchased the matching and generously sized pasta bowls separately which double up fantastically as serving bowls for side dishes. The only caution I have if you were to purchased a re-sale set, is whether or not it is oven safe. I don’t think the set I purchased last year was conventional oven safe, but now it appears the manufacturers are using a new oven-safe stoneware clay.

For the price you get a really beautiful set of dishes. They are hand painted and really add some color to your home. I didn't see any flaws on my set.
