(3 Pack Garden 2-Pounds Each Poultry Dust

We have three Rhode Island Red hens and one of them picked up mites from the house sparrows, which led to a second hen getting them, too, but not as badly. I got into a mode of giving all of the chickens a bath in a poultry insecticide mix every six weeks to eliminate the mites, even leaving them in the bath up to their necks for 10 minutes this last time which simultaneously 'bombing' their coop with foggers, which still didn't kill the bugs. At that point I realized I needed to try something different and found this poultry dust after finding our local feed store was out of stock. I was extremely skeptical of claims the mites were killed immediately, but I dusted the birds directly, put some in their bedding material, and spread some where they like to take dust baths (all as recommended by our local feed store). Shockingly, the mites disappeared immediately and I have not seen any sign of them in the two weeks since we started using this dust. Moving forward, I will sprinkle a little in their bedding material a couple of times a week and lightly dust the girls weekly to help ensure they don't get reinfested. The worst of the three--Buttercup--suffered from cloacal scabs due to the mites, so I'm expecting she'll continue healing and no longer in pain. Ideally, all three (including Speckles and Boo Boo) will be able to be more comfortable not having to deal with mites anymore. (Our last two batches of chickens never had this mite problem.) All of the girls are past egg-laying age and will hopefully be able to live out their retirement in greater comfort thanks to this poultry dust. Note: I would buy again, but I still have two full containers left, which will take a long time to use up at the current rate.

I have a mama hen with 5 babies isolated in a broody coop. I noticed that the 4 week old babies wiere full of lice or mites, not sure which they were. They were tiny, microsopic red/orange bugs with lots of legs (ick!). I bought this Garden & Poultry Dust and applied it all over them - under their wings, around their vent, becks, bellies. I also dusted the mama hen even though I didn't see any bugs on her. I figure if the babies have them and they sleep under the mama, then she probably had them too! I also dusted the sleeping area and around their coop. By the next day, the bugs were gone! No trace left on any of the birds. It's been 2 weeks and I keep checking them, still no trace of bugs! Excellent product!Still lice/mite free as of 2/4/2021!

This stuff was recommended by someone who likes to keep a natural coop. We like to keep everything organic with our chickens and this helps us keep winter mites at bay while not having to forego the eggs temporarily. Its odorless and works incredibly well. My chickens are healthier for our having found it.

After 14 years living in our home I have never encountered mites or ticks before. Last year I put grass in and we did have some heavy rains and weeds. I have tried everything to combat the mites. They breed faster then I can treat them it seems. The dogs are miserable even with Advantage. One was showing signs of mange. The powder came but it was super late in delivery. I was dying to get it asap. And the containers were in a sealed back thank goodness because the containers were all broken when it finally showed up. but took one pound of it and went outside to sprinkle all over the porch and some on the grass.. Then sprinkled it all over the dog. After washing first the dog that looked like was getting mange and then sprinkled on her she seems at more of peace today. All dogs are not scratching anymore and see little amounts of mite matter on them instead of the enormous amount I did a day ago. I am hoping if I continue to dust them they will kill the mites outside too.. Because these things are ruining my life. I have sprinkled this stuff in the car all over too. Did you know mites survive in 110 degree heat still. omg. Ill update the review again in 10 days . These mites are everywhere in the pantry, closets . it is a nightmare I hope no one has to encounter ever. Permithium seems to be the only thing that is keeping the herd down.
