EnviroKlenz Mobile Air Purifier for Allergies, MCS, and Asthma with 2-Stage Filtration

I have MCS and allergies. I was very excited to receive this air purifier as I was told by the company that it is superior to carbon air purifiers. I have not had success with the carbon air purifiers removing perfumes and I react to some carbons. The website states that the air purifier covers 1000 sq feet. When I received the machine, no where in the literature did it say 1000 sq feet but rather 750 sq ft. I didn't really care so much about that since I would be using it in rooms smaller than that but thought it spoke to their honesty.The first thing was the directions in assembling the machine were not accurate. The directions were either for an earlier model or a different model, but since it was simple to figure out I also didn't worry about that.Their website stated that this machine emits NO SMELL, which to me means no voc and no reaction. However, as soon as I started the air purifier I smelled something akin to a burning smell. I re-read the directions, making sure I was running it on the level they recommended, and I was. I thought maybe the smell would dissipate, however it did not. I moved the machine to a different room to see if that made a difference and it did not and I began immedeately reacting to it, headache, sinus pain, breathing issues, so I shut it off.I took the filters out and reached inside and the motor was HOT! I do not know if this was a malfunction but I cannot have a machine that emits odors in my home. I called the company as they have a 30 day return guarantee. They immediately wanted to send me a new machine, and I said no, because I figured this is probably what the machine does and I just wanted my money back. The man helping me argued with me putting me on hold several times, pretending he was talking with his supervisor. He finally agreed to send it back but stated I had to pay the $70 return shipping that I had agreed to when I bought it. I told him I would not, because his machine was NOT! What they advertised, emitting smells into my home and causing me to feel sick! Again he went round and round pretending at times to talk with a supervisor. He finally agreed to pay the shipping, but later came back and said they couldn't because I had bought other items and had free shipping on those. I agreed to pay the shipping for those items, but he again would not budge and would not allow me to talk to his supervisor. I finally had to threaten him that I was going to my credit card company with this if he did not let me speak with a supervisor. He again put me on hold and came back and said fine, you just have to pay the shipping on the other item. This took at least an hour of my time.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY!! HORRIBLE, ABUSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I have scent and VOC sensitivities. I have to wear a mask everywhere I go. I had to wear one at home to. It is not pleasant to wear a mask when you are trying to live life at home where you should feel the most comfortable. I couldn't breathe especially when we were cooking food.Being on a Facilities team I am educated on air purification. I have been taught that HEPA filtration is not the cure all for all airborne particles. When it comes to scents you need a charcoal filter that focuses on VOCs. This unit is designed for purifying air and removing a lot of the VOCs in the air. Nothing is a cure all. There isn't a device made for the home use to remove all VOC's, molds, airborne particles, etc. This device has made my home a home again. I don't have to wear the mask at home anymore unless we burn food or someone is wearing perfume.On high the purifier is noisy. When we do have smells that are bothering me we turn it on high and it clears the room in about 15-20 minutes. Otherwise we leave it on low while we are at home and it keeps the air at a manageable level for me. There is a whisper quite setting that is so low you can barely hear it.I recommend the machine for those of us that are scent and VOC sensitive. If you are severe, it might not but it has helped me.

Product I received was defective and they refused to refund. List of BBB complaints for the same reason. Their advertising alludes to research on the effectiveness of their product. I could find no detailed reviews, or scientific evaluations of the technology.

I purchased the EnviroKlenz Air Purifier to remove some smoke odors from a wild fire that was near my house. I was shocked at the difference it made within only a couple hours of turning it on. I was even more impressed after going to a neighbors house and realizing how bad the odor was there. I high recommend!!!

We got ours from the company (not through amazon) and it worked great for what we needed. We were trying to remove mold smells from one of our rooms that was getting remodeled/fixed. Once the filter was on, you couldn’t even notice the smell anymore. We also got extra cartridges as part of a deal the we’re having on their website.

This does not come with the 3 bonus VOC filters like it shows in the picture. It came used with dirty construction looking dust all over the wheels, multiple paint scuffs, no wrapping whatsoever on the unit except on the one voc filter. The thumb screws holding on the door for the filters were put in so tight I couldn't get them out without a wrench. They are supposed to unscrew by hand. The door that accesses the filter is only held on by these screws so it constantly falls off when you try to put the screws back in after installing the filters. The other really thick hepa filter wasn't wrapped and the box has completely open handle grab holes in it so the filter smelled horrible as it had soaked up fumes from wherever it came from having been used before or from whatever warehouse it sat in. Hepa filters should be sealed or they come with all the contaminants of wherever they came from. All you can smell when it runs is this terrible smell from the filter. This is such an about face from what is advertised for this unit. It's large and heavy and a huge pain to return. This isn't right to advertise this for the chemically sensitive. I am better off strapping high grade merv filters to box fans.
