Perfect!
I absolutely love this toilet seat, which is something I've never said before in my life. It's fantastic to have a very modern, premium-feeling seat like this one. It isn't perfect though, it has one key issue that I'll note at the end. First of all, it's worth saying that my first order came defective - the button that you press to remove the toilet seat broke out of place. Hibbent was very kind and helpful, they sent me a replacement which came within a few days. So that resolution was a great first impression. Installation was easy, but it should have been easier. To start, you have to insert two rubber holders (they kind of look like wall anchors) into the holes of the toilet (where the screws go). But for some reason, the rubber holders come with the screws already screwed in. This threw me and my partner off, we were concerned that it wasn't compatible with our toilet since we couldn't get them in, but we didn't realize that we had to remove the screws first, and insert the rubber pieces separately (it's hard to describe in text, hopefully this makes sense). The instructions are somewhat confusing grammatically which is why we missed this detail, but it would be much better if the pieces were shipped already separated from eachother. I highly recommend just watching a Youtube video to see how to do it, because once you understand, installation is a breeze. But it was a little confusing when using only the paper instructions and the pieces in the box. But once it's set up, this is a really fantastic toilet seat. It feels good to sit on, the plastic is thick and it's quite comfortable. The slow-closing lid works perfectly, it's great and I love that I'll never hear a toilet seat slam in my house again. And it's so convenient to click it on and off the base. But this is my main issue and the reason why I give this seat only 4 stars: for some reason, one of the sides of the seat doesn't snap into place as firmly as the other. This is the side with the button (I'll just call it the right side, which is where it is when you look at it attached to your toilet). The left side snaps into place perfectly and doesn't jiggle around at all. However you have to kind of fiddle around to get the right side to stay firmly in place - it DOES snap fully shut, but I kind of have to move the button in and out a little to get it there. Thankfully it's not like I'll be removing the seat constantly (I'm still gonna clean around it most of the time, and then take it off maybe once a month or so for a deeper clean). But for a $60 toilet seat, this is extremely annoying, and feels like a design flaw. For what it's worth, I was able to snap the first (defective) toilet seat into place, by holding the button in the button hole with my finger, and that seat had the same issue where one side wouldn't click in as easily as the other. I assumed that this was due to the fact that the button was broken, but it looks like it might actually be a bigger issue. The #1 reason why I decided to purchase this is because I cannot stand when toilet seats jiggle, it drives me nuts. I hate sitting down and feeling the weight of my body shift around, for some reason it really infuriates me! So while I'm more than happy with the ease of taking it on/off, and the fact that the lid doesn't slam, and the premium quality, I really wanted a toilet seat that just won't move around much. And this one was so close! I mean, again, once it's locked in it STAYS locked in, which is a joy. But I am very unhappy with the inconvenience of having to fiddle with it for quite a bit of time in order to get it there. I don't know why this issue occurs but it happened no matter how many times I tested it, and I do hope that Hibbent can figure it out because it diminishes what is an otherwise wonderful luxury to have. I still can recommend this, I sincerely do love it (as much as one can love a toilet seat), but just be mindful of this one irritating quirk. EDIT - I'm upping my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I wrote that original review 5 months ago, and in that time, I've found that my main issue (one side of the toilet seat not firmly snapping into place) has actually not been a big deal at all. I *do* have to jiggle the seat into place to get that side locked correctly, but it's like, 1 second of jiggling max, and it stays firmly locked into place until the next time I remove the seat. I don't love this little quirk, I wish the seat simply locked and unlocked seamlessly and without any fiddling required, but it's ended up being an extremely minor issue - and it really doesn't detract from all of the positives.

Easy to clean
I love that this seat pops on and off. Installation was simple and the fact that I can take it off and wash it in the tub and get all the nooks and crannies of where it would be connected on the toilet makes me happy in a house with four men. Great value for the cost. The size fits perfect. It replaced a wooden seat that was much harder to clean and cracked. This will not be cracking.

Plumbers Kid Lid of Approval
This Hibbent toilet seat and lid give new meaning to the word SECURE. No rocking, slipping, or feeling flimsy. The lid itself is securely placed by a full rubber bulb expansion screw washer that sinks into the hole of toilet to keep the 2 inch long metal recessive screw and butterfly bolt in place. This screw system holds the bottom piece of the hinge face plate firm to lid seat and china toilet. The lid unit is then attached by notched metal rods that lock/clamp into the lid. The lid unit is adjusted to toilet before securing screws and putting on the hinge plate cover piece. Under the seat are 4 big no slip grip feet (picture 1) that sit on the china surface to keep the seat firmly in place. The double thick one piece hinge (picture 2) cannot shift out of place. The lid and seat unit will detach at the press of a button on the side of the hinge for easy cleaning. This lid and seat are sleek in style with nice rounded edges and design. Since the lid thickness is intended to be used to sit on, there are also circular dot feet to keep it in place too. The material is all heavy duty plastic, thick and solid but not clunky. Lid and seat are not too heavy to prevent the easy self close feature from working. Additionally since material is solid plastic, there are no special cleaning instructions or fluids needed like others do. This bottom heavy butt has no fear of slipping, cracking, or snapping when in use! This plumbers kid knows the Hibbent toilet seat and lid would have gotten the adjustable wrench of approval from the plumber. Easy step by step installation. No plumber needed.

Awesome Toilet Seat—Just Wish It Fit!
I really wanted to keep this toilet seat because it was awesome—but unfortunately, I had to return it because it didn’t fit my toilet. That being said, if you get the right size, you’re in for a luxurious throne experience! The Good Stuff: • Color: I got the classic white, and it looked sleek, clean, and modern—not that weird off-white that makes you wonder if it’s actually clean. • Thickness & Stability: This seat is solid—not flimsy like those thin plastic ones that feel like they might crack if you shift the wrong way. Once installed, it does not budge, making for a very stable sitting experience (which, let’s be honest, is important). • Noise Level: Whisper-quiet close! No more accidental “toilet seat slams” that wake up the whole house at 2 AM. • Weight: Feels sturdy but not heavy, meaning it doesn’t feel cheap, but you also won’t need a forklift to install it. The One Thing to Watch Out For: The instructions are SUPER confusing. The first step tells you to push the side button, which makes it seem like the seat splits in half—it does NOT. You only push that button after installation when you want to remove the seat for cleaning. I figured this out after a very frustrating 10 minutes of trying to force something that wasn’t supposed to happen. Final Thoughts: If this seat had fit my toilet, I would have kept it forever. Comfortable, sturdy, and whisper-quiet. Just ignore step one of the directions unless you’re removing it for cleaning! 9.5/10—Docking half a point for the confusing instructions, but otherwise, this thing is a winner.

Never struggle to change toilet seats again.
The absolute best toilet seat we have ever purchased. Easy installation. No banging lid. Very sturdy up to 400 lbs. We bought two. Fits our Berber round and oval toilets.

The toilet seat & cover are very well made. It is made of quality, high gloss, white plastic so it is easy to clean. The installation was very simple and straightforward. The "slow descending, soft closing" of the seat & cover works great. The seat and cover detach very easy from the seat anchor so cleaning is a breeze.

This seat is a great upgrade with the slow close on lid and seat. Also being able to remove set with one click/push button is very convenient for cleaning. The directions are a little tricky but if you relax a little and take time to really understand it comes together pretty fast, and then you just adjust as needed. It comes with crush bolts which most folks dont understand, so it can prove a little challenging, but in hind site pretty easy.

Working good. Nice and sturdy. Lot of big people in this house.

I generally agree with the other reviewers who praised thus toilet seat and gave it five stars. Solidly built, functional, quiet, attractive. It is made of a material that is not cold to the touch (i.e., is a good heat insulator), which is pleasant. The underside of the lid has a sticker with operating instructions written in imperfect English. "If the toilet makes 180 turns, it will hide the bolt hole. Notice that this is not a bad product." The useless and unsightly sticker comes off easily, though. The instructions are also written in imperfect English which unfortunately makes them harder to understand than they would have been if the company had hired a native English speaker to edit the text. Strongly recommended.
