I'd been trying everything I could to help my son feel less anxious about preschool. But after two months, he was still throwing fits and crying almost every morning. Then I saw this book recommended. After we read it together, and exchanged kissing hands, it was like a whole new world.No more crying.No more screaming.Since then, he has expressed anxiety about school a few times, but now he has a way to handle it. We recharge his kissing hands each morning. He puts his hands to his cheek and says "Mommy loves me!" or "Daddy loves me!" and we do the same with our kissing hands.I want to thank the author from the bottom of my heart for writing this amazing book.

I purchased this book for my grown daughter. We read this book when she was in pre-school every night. It is a very sentimental book for us both so I was very pleased to find it on Amazon. She was excited about the book and the quality and value were excellent.

I cant believe it took me this long to discover such a wonderful book! This book was of excellent quality. If you have little ones you should definitely buy it <3

High quality book. I purchased it for my first "great niece" My nephew and wife had their first child and all were asked to bring a book instead of a card. I have had the book for years and I still choke up even though I have read it repeatedly to my 6 grandchildren. This anniversary edition was perfect!

The cover on this is a textured hard cover really adding to the quality of the book. This book helped my 4yr old with autism go to school without tears!

I had the original book for my own children and just gave this one as a shower gift. It is a story worth reading again and again.

This is a winderful book for a child who is going through fear /loss / vulnerability . In a sweet subtle way, tge story comforts and gives confidence.

This book was recommended by my son’s educational psychologist. It has really helped with his attachment issues with me. My other two children have also found this comforting and uses “the kissing hand” too.

The book is fantastic with very sweet illustrations. My kiddo loved that and I honestly think it helped her a lot in the transition to a new city/friends/kindergarden when we moved in November 2019. Now after more than 4 months she is very happy to go to kindergarden and she still likes to have a hand kiss before I drop her (I usually wear a bit of lipstick so that she can get a little stamp on her little hand). I can only reccomend this book!!

My son and I love this book. I bought it because he recently started at a new kindergarten and finds the change difficult. This book has helped. Sometimes when I pick up my son from kindergarten he tells me that he didn't cry when he was there because he put my kissing hand to his cheek.I found the note at the end of the 25th anniversary edition very moving. It explained that the author had the idea for the story when she observed a baby racoon in a forest having its hand nuzzled by its mother. Then the baby put its hand to its face, showing a lovely connection between it and the mother racoon.

It has kissing hand stickers in the back. A little area to add a personal note. Great teacher present or for anyone who is going back to school.
