Okay I know it’s kind of expensive, but this is what you alway hope happens when you try to make cocoa by putting a chocolate bar in milk. It’s not exactly powder, it’s like tiny grains of chocolate that melt nicely and don’t glob at the bottom of the cup. The taste is rich and smooth—just a touch of unique flavor, but subtle and just good. I wanted to see if this might make a good gift for people who lived in Guatemala—I’m now thinking that surely I can make room for this in my regular grocery budget. I usually make my own with organic cocoa powder and coconut sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. This hot chocolate makes mine seem sad and lifeless. It’s better than Starbucks by a long way, better than Bellagio. To me it rivals Dick Taylor, and my personal preference swings slightly towards Antigua.

This is not your typical sweet cocoa. You will need to adjust sweetness to your liking, however the flavor is great. I like to add to a hot cup of non-diary milk (oak or rice). Then I get a little heave on the brown sugar, and I am in heaven!

It seemed not all the chocolate melted but it tasted good. Yes, I would buy again just to have something a bit different than powdered packages Dipping finger in package it tasted even better than the drink.

A little pricey, but well worth it! My husband is Guatemalan and this is a truly traditional product. The chocolate is more rich than sweet and makes the most delicious hot cocoa!

This is multi purpose. For baking, cooking or making a cup of yummy hit chocolate, this is it.I love that it's in powder. Finding hot chocolate mix for someone who cannot have dairy is challenging, even for those with sensitivities of eating products processed in factories that also process dairy!This is perfect!Will keep buying and sharing with allEDIT: still buying it. This is probably about the same sweetness as a Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix. I prefer cocoa that is less sweet that that. Unfortunately, no way to adjust the sweetness as the sugar is part of the chocolate block.

I gave this gift to my sweetheart. We both loved it! It is the tastiest hot chocolate either of us has ever had. The gift bag is beautiful and reusable as well.
