Nice marking gauge.
I've read reviews that stated the dimensions on the rod were not accurate with the cutting wheel, mine is accurate. I rarely use the numbers anyway but should I need to they are spot on. The rolling wheel cutter is really not needed. It works reasonably well for softwoods but most wheel marking gauges do not offer that option and there is a good reason for that. The fixed wheel just works better on all woods. The cutting wheel with the bearings may come in handy for exceptionally soft products (not wood). I did find that the wheels, while somewhat sharp, did need to be dressed to a really sharp edge. You need to do that periodically anyway with wheeled gauges so a few minutes of tuning and set up were expected. The screw that holds the cutter is recessed and those who use these appreciate that design feature. A good value and a good compliment to the other wheeled gauges I use.

Good quality at a great price.
This gauge has all of the important features, is well made, has a accurate scale in both imperial and metric and most of all, it works extremely well. The best part of the gauge is the price, the initial feature that caught my attention.I really like this gauge.

good for the price & for cardboard
Note: I use this tool for cardboard scoring; I have no occasion to use it for fine woodworking (in which case I'd go for Lie-Nielsen's) so my rating is not indicative of its use on wood. It is relatively inexpensive looking (the scale markings are rather amateurishly laser cut), but the tolerances are ok, no wobble, the scale is actually pretty accurate, and the roller blade has smooth bearings. I think it's excellent for casual use.I want to mention one mod that may be useful. One immediately notices that the set screw will tighten against a bare metal shaft, and many of us realize this means a lot of circular scratches, or worse. This isn't just cosmetic; irregularities on the shaft can interfere with accurate positioning, if you're fussy. Before I even used it, I cut a 1/8" diameter piece out of 1/16" teflon sheet, and inserted it into the set screw hole to serve as a bearing pad between the screw and the shaft. Teflon is of course not necessary -- almost any non-metal material can work: plastic from a milk carton, end of a toothpick, or even a tiny wad of paper.

Solid accurate tool with gauge marked up to 6 inches and 15 centimeters
Solid and heavy! Cutter head retaining screw is recessed below the cutter edge making it possible to use a guide for the cutter. Cutter head is recessed into gauge body for safe storage and to protect the cutting edge on the wheel

Missing Locked Up Cutter
The tool is actually up to my expectations but I received neither the locked up cutter nor the screwdriver. Frankly, I would not use a free promotional screwdriver. Its inclusion into the package was not appealing to me, anyway. I am not sure if I would use the locked up cutter, either. Maybe I would not use it at all, maybe I would use it rarely. Therefore, I essentially got what I needed. However, I deduct one star for every missing item. Given that they were advertised, I believe I am generous with my star rating but this would be an entirely different story if the bearing cutter was missing. On the other hand, the tool feels solid and precise. It is heavier than I was expecting. It is a carefully machined and nicely finished instrument. The bearing is smooth and free of play. The cutter is sharp enough for what it is supposed to do but not overly sharpened. Otherwise, the sharp edge could be damaged if pressed a bit hard into the wood. Metric and inch scales are engraved and nicely contrasted. They are also accurate according to my digital caliper. All in all, I am happy with the tool and I can recommend it to those who don't need a cheap screwdriver and who are not sure if they need a fixed cutter or not.

Nice quality at a great price.
I have just started using this and it is all I was looking for. Nice solid construction with 2 wheels (one for softwood and one for hardwood). Comes in a nice cylinder to protect it. Shipping was quick and on time. Definitely recommend.

A nice tool for the price
This is my first wheel marking gauge, and it certainly beats the one that the local woodworking store had in stock, as I needed one where the marking wheel seats fully inside the brass base plate, and this one does that. The cutting wheel is not as sharp as it could be, but a few passes on some sandpaper helped a bit. I like that you get a fixed cutting wheel as well. I did file a flat spot on the base plate so that it won't roll, so it would be nice if that was built in. It would also be better if the measuring marks used the back end (the red part) to measure from, since it's hard to get very accurate measurements from the shaft due to the cutout in the base plate. But I don't rely on that for measuring anyway. I just would have made it so that you could if you wanted to.
