Clear, compostable cups at a great price!
These are great cups that are compostable! I was told it would be hard to find clear, compostable cups at a good price. This fits the bill.

Very heat sensitive
I set up for my party on warm California winter day. By the time the event started, the cups had melted from exposure to the sun. They were unusable. Some stuck together; some morphed into shapes that would not set upright on a surface.I loved the idea of using biodegradable disposables. However, this product has limitations. I would not recommend for a summer BBQ!

Keep Out of the Sun
The only problem I had with these cups was that during the course of our event they came into direct sunlight. Ooops! They melted! I really like the fact that they are recyclable & compostable, but they didn't hold up well enough to use.

excellent alternative to plastic!
What an excellent alternative to plastic and good for the earth! I am keeping them in a cool place and am following recommendations by others to keep them out of the sun and use only cold drinks with them. Seems obvious not to make contact with heat, so that advice should be heeded.

Nice eco-friendly drinking cups
I keep these in the front office for clients to drink water. They look nicer than styrofoam and I like that it is a green product.

These MELT in the sun
I love that these are biodegradable and the smaller size is perfect for punch or lemonade. Be aware, though, that the cups will melt if left in the sun. We had a stack of inverted cups set up on the picnic table and, as the sun came overhead, the cups trapped the heat and melted and deformed quite dramatically. They still held water but could not be set down without spilling. It did make for an interesting science lesson but is not exactly what we had in mind. If you buy these, be sure to set up your drink table in the shade!! Given that there are relatively few options in terms of biodegradable cups, I would likely buy these again, but not without reservations.

Melted
I used these for a birthday party this past weekend. Halfway through the party, I noticed that they had totally warped, as if they had been put in a microwave oven. Granted, it was warm out, but they were not in direct sunlight, just sitting outside on a table in 80-degree weather.I was trying to be eco-friendly, but sadly, I had to throw most of them away. Good thing I had back-up cups!Unless you are hosting an outdoor party in the middle of winter in Chicago, I'd stay away from these cups.
