This is perfect! If you're taking any classes, you know that as much as you write notes, there are things you overlook. Not anymore. This is small yet it picks up voices perfectly. You want to sit in the front near the professor if you're going to record the lecture, but if you're going to use it to dictate your own notes, you can have it in your breast pocket. Sound quality not bad, especially for the price. If you want a studio sounding one go elsewhere, but if you're a college student then money is probably tight, so get this!

I made the mistake of trying to use straight from the box, but this needs to be charged prior to use. Just remove cap and plug into USB in computer or wall charger (not included). Then when you unplug it and switch it to on, a red light will come on, when the light turns blue it is recording. Then turn off to stop recording and plug into computer to load the audio. The sound quality when I recorded my voice was good quality. I noticed if I have it too close to my face, breath will make a crackling sound, to be expected. I also recorded me speaking while holding it at arms length and my voice could still be heard clearly on the recording, but it is very sensitive to air sound, so the motion of extending my arm recorded loud crackling sound. So, I think it will record best held still, and without wind or breeze. Probably best have it on table to record to avoid the interference from air. Still a good little recorder and is compact and light to have with you for when you need it. It is the size of standard thumb drives and can be hooked to a lanyard. Would be great for recording a class lesson to study later.

I have had this only a short time. It is extremely simple to use and yet very helpful. It has the look and feel of a USB memory stick and works with USB 2.0 or 3.X to charge. I have found this to be very helpful for just daily thoughts as I go along through my day. It has a long charge that so far I have not exceeded using it for 15 hours. The clarity is excellent and the simplicity makes it technology that non-tech people can use. I have a hearing problem but I can record things and hear them later in a quiet environment. I really like it and have made a place in my life for it. This is NOT voice activated and I feel it is better for it. There is a switch to turn it on or off. The sensitivity on record is very good for voice or music. The playback is exceptionally clear, almost as if there is a filter in use though there is no mention of that in the instructions. This is quite helpful, inexpensive, lightweight and small, easy to carry and operate. I use this on Windows 7 and Windows 10 and the .WAV files are compatible and transferable. I don't know if it works on other environments or not.

When you open the packing, the quality doesn't look great and it certainly makes you feel that maybe you made a mistake but it works great. I specifically ordered this for the lectures I am taking these days and it works great. 4 star because of the physcial quality of USB

I received this product and I charged it on my pc. I just used it today. I had it in my coat pocket and it recorded. I can hear the conversation pretty good. Easy to use just charge it, red light comes on, and turn it on when you are ready to record blue light ,and shut it off when you are done recording. connect it to your pc usb slot. The only problem I have is getting the lid off, it is hard for me.

I like this item for the idea of having a USB chip and a audio recorder in it. It's small it fits on your Keychain with all other keys
