Highly recommend to mothers to gift their daughters
I loved this book. Highly recommending it to mothers with daughter. We all know how difficult it is to talk to our daughters about Puberty. It is not about just the physiological changes but the emotional as well. They may have questions, fears and anxiety when they get their first period. Muslim Girl Growing up is that resource to guide you and your daughter. Natalia wrote this book sharing our Islamic traditions and culture, while so naturally weaving in all the information needed for their age. She addresses all the fears and well… helps avoid the embarrassing conversations. 😀 The illustrations, the language and the friendly elder-sister-like tone is perfect. I especially loved that the information is just enough for their age. Not too much and not any less. It is every doubt and fear calmly answered.

Five Stars
A good reliable source of information for your daughter on menstruation and cleanliness from an Islamic perspective.

This is short and uncontroversial and does not cover the more difficult to discuss aspects of growing up. £12 for this is unbelievable. The reading age and detail is way too low (perhaps 6 or 7?) for subject matter as I would expect most people reading to be age 9-13. I will give it to my daughter as it is as I say uncontroversial and harmless but I will need to write something to supplement to make it a full address of growing up for girls.

Wish it had more details

Just because there is dearth of good Islamic books out there, it is not fair to exploit this situation and sell few pages of your random thoughts and present it as a book. The actual page numbering enna at 29 followed by few blank pages to beef it up, not 32. Even within 29, actual content starts from page six. If you consider the (not very useful) illustrations, the actual content is not more than 19-15 small A5 size pages with big text. Please DON'T BUY. Instead take ten minutes of your time and talk to your daughter yourself, she'll probably learn much more.

Expensive for such few pages of very basic info

Too high priced. Not required for children who have even a slight exposure to Islam
