SUPER POWER FISTBALL 2000X!!!
OK, I know this isn't the intended use for this but.......my sons and I invented a sport which they named SUPER POWER FISTBALL 2000 X and we haven't stopped playing since we came up with it! It is essentially a form of volleyball but requiring heavy double-fisted punches to send the ball over a goal post at our local park (it is allowed to bounce between hits, younger players can wear boxing gloves....we're still ironing out some of the rules). It is a lot of fun and fantastic exercise! So while I can't review some of the traditional uses of this ball, I can tell you that it is incredibly durable and has put up with a remarkable amount of abuse with no signs of wear. It also doubles nicely as a seat when you are too exhausted from your last bout of SUPER POWER FISTBALL 2000 X! I can't wait to finish work today and get back down to the park for another bout. I highly recommend picking one of these babies up now so you can start training for when SUPER POWER FISTBALL 2000X becomes an Olympic sport.

Yes
Whatever you do, don't throw away the little white sticks!!! They are the plugs that keep the air in the ball. I find this rather odd, as one usually has a plug attached to the mouth piece, but not with this.Although one is supposed to be able to inflate the ball using a bicycle pump, I don't see how that is possible as the ball does not have an exterior mouth piece, as it were. Therefore, I would recommend getting a battery operated air pump as they are much faster and require less energy and they have all the necessary accoutrements for almost anything that requires air pumped into it.I received the blue ball. It is smaller than I expected, but it should serve me well enough once it is fully pumped up. I have pumped it up once, but it will require further air put into it as the ball expands to its full capacity over time. For now, it bounces well! Beyond that, having never really used such balls or bought them, I am unable to judge by comparison. The price appears to be right and the quality good as it is quite thick. How long it should or will last I don't know. I suppose that depends on how much I use it.

Sturdy, large exercise ball, bargain price.
At its current selling price of under £6, this exercise ball is a bargain and well worth getting if you regularly do yoga or pilates... especially if you want one of these for home and not just using the ones a the gym. This ball is the biggest and comes in a neutral grey colour. It is a very good quality, robust and will certainly last if looked after properly. It is good for strengthening core muscles, developing a healthy posture and easing back pain in the process. It comes deflated and neatly folded in a box, along with a simple workout sheet, with example exercises to do using the ball. You will need to order a pump separately if you do not have one.If you have never used an exercise ball before, ensure you get the appropriate size for your height and follow instructions for use carefully, so as not to cause muscle strain or back injury. These balls are not toys and you should always use them appropriately around and with children... these are big and can knock a small child over.

As good as the exercise balls at the gym
I sometimes use an exercise ball at the gym to do crunches. Having the extra bit of wobble from being sat on the ball supposedly activates my core muscles more. I sometimes also do push ups with my feet on the ball - again the instability of the ball is supposed to engage more muscles.I'm currently using this ball at home in my office. When sitting in an office chair, I tend to slump and have quite poor posture. Sitting on this exercise ball means that I am forced to use more of my core back and stomach muscles to stay upright - so hopefully this will help me to be a bit stronger and more toned in the future. Please note that the ball does NOT come with a pump. You will need a standard bicycle pump in order to be able to inflate it.Overall, the ball is as good in quality as the ones that my gym provides. So I think it should last a long time.

A good quality ball
Although this is quite an inexpensive ball you do get a good quality ball. The material is a tough, slighly textured plastic, which is thick and feels like it will take an amount of abuse without damage. It's easy to clean, just by wiping it down with a cloth. The ball arrives deflated, so bear in mind you will need some way of pumping it up. The pressure is kept in with a long plastic pin which just pushes into the pump hole, and a spare is supplied. You could deflate it between each use, but as it takes a good 7-8 minutes to pump up you probably won't want to bother, so do consider the amount of space an inflated ball takes up!A great ball, and it does everything you'd expect.

Ridiculous bargain
Reviewing the gray, 75cm ball, which is currently under six quid - can't believe it's going to stay that price for long as this is a heavy duty ball that wouldn't be out of place in your typical gym or pilates studio.I haven't regularly done pilates for an age, but I really want to get back into it. You don't strictly NEED an exercise ball but it opens up a LOT of possibilities when you exercise, and can also be used for general balance and stretching as well.I'm tempted to buy a bunch of these and make a giant ball pit in the front room. You'll need to provide your own pump, or leave it uninflated and tape it to your cat to make an armadillo. Sturdy, thick rubber, so it should take a bit of abuse.
