Seeking the Face of God: Nine Reflections on the Psalms

Martyn Lloyd-Jones is an anointed communicator of God's Word. He presents the Psalms in such a real, experiential manner that the reader is constantly faced with the question: "Am I currently experiencing the great truths found in this Psalm?", or "have I ever experienced what this psalmist is talking about?" His style of writing/teaching is very easy to follow because he progresses his thoughts in a very logical, and clear way, yet you can feel his passion pulsing through every page. He's calculative and precise with every word, but never mechanical and purely theoretical. This was clearly a man that knew God deeply, and the evidence of that shines brightly in this collection of nine great sermons. I would highly recommend this to anyone who finds themselves continually drawing life from the Psalms. These book will give you very helpful advice to ponder when seeking the face of God.

This is a wonderful book that deepens your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr Lloyd-Jones is gifted in his writings. Never disappointed

An exceptional collection of sermons by an outstanding expositor

We love anything Martyn Lloyd-Jones has written. For living in a very different era, he writing is very readable and his insights are amazing. We have given his books to friends because he has an amazing way of being relevant for today's Christians.

I enjoy reading D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. He brings out truth and depths in Scripture like no other for me. It reminds me of opening up and orange. I am savoring each word and Psalm that he analyzes.

I highly recommend this book to all who earnestly seek the the Father's heart. Wonderfully explained and in depth look into the mind and emotions of the Psalmsist. I reflected in many ways about my personal relationship with God and how much I want to seek and adore Him in my life.
