I really like this kitchen scale. I wanted to upgrade from a regular kitchen scale to digital & this one is still working 8 years later? It was reasonably priced too. It is thin & a small enough size that I can store it on its side in my bread box. It will easily fit in a cabinet, drawer, etc or tucked away elsewhere.I use it when I am freezing bigger packs of meat & when I am making hamburgers to make sure they are equal in size. It is very handy when I am making a batch of pasties & weigh out the same amounts of each ingredient so they all have the same amount of filling. I have used it to divy up larger packages of snacks too - I have some small covered condiment cups & I can use the scale to measure out individual snack portions. Buying in bulk & dividing the food into smaller packages saves money - individual snack packs are more expensive because there's more packaging involved. Buy some reusable covered containers & make your own.I even use it to weigh letters to make sure that I have enough postage on them. It's handy for small packages too.The AccuWeight scale is easy to use. It has multiple measurement types & uses regular batteries & they are easy to change. It's easy to clean too. I always use a plate/bowl/pan on it & tare it to zero before I start.The only thing I think some people might not like is that it's shiny black & will show fingerprints/dust, etc. I personally don't mind & just wipe it off before & after using. Even with fingerprints, it's a handy little scale!

With the Lose It! App I need to weigh every food that I eat. So I pulled out the scale I already owned only to discover it was not working properly- even after replacing the battery. I don't know if I was more annoyed that the scale was broken or that I wasted a trip to the store to buy the special button battery the scale required. So when I needed to replace the scale, one priority was to have the scale run on batteries I always have on hand. But other pro to this food scale is the large, easy to clean glass surface. The scale easily switches between measurements and with a quick push of a button allows you to zero the scale with something on the platform. Zero the scale (tare) so the weight of the container is not included in the measurement of the food's weight. I like to place a slice of bread directly on the scale and build the sandwich from there. Stack the ham and get the weight. Hit the tare button and and then stack the Swiss cheese to determine the weight of just the cheese. The other slice of bread is placed on the scale, hit the tare button and spread the light mayo on the bread to determine how much is used. This is much easier and quicker than measuring with a tablespoon. My first scale was bought in a store where options are always limited. This time around my online purchase allowed me to see more to choose from. This scale works fantastically at a great price. I wish this was the first scale I ever bought. Live and learn.

2nd REWRITE of the REVIEW: I had originally written a good review then revised it downward after further usage confirmed the scale was giving inaccurate readings when weighing larger amounts of items that are not solid/stable - e.g. water that sloshes around in the container. I returned my first scale to Amazon for a full refund. "My tronics" (the seller) reached out to me and wanted to send me a new Accuweight scale, even though I had already received a refund. They said that they stand behind their product and want every customer to be satisfied. True to their word, they sent a new scale, at no cost to me. I was skeptical at first, and doubted that it would be any good. Well, I was wrong. I have been using the replacement scale and have compared the readings to another scale we have, and I am convinced it is functioning perfectly. I believe the original scale was a fluke and that the quality of the product is very good. I have tested it with different types of materials, sitting in different spots on the weighing surface, and I am happy with the consistently accurate performance.I also love the fact that this scale has a flat, smooth weighing surface. This design gives it a sleek, classy look, and also makes for easier cleaning. The tare function works perfectly, and while I have not actually timed it, it gives me plenty of time to add each ingredient. I have not had it reset on me. The Accuweight switches easily between the different units of measurement. All in all, I love it!UPDATE AFTER EXTENSIVE USE: I have both this scale and another scale of the style that has a raised circular weighing platform, with the control buttons on the top of the scale, just in front of the circular platform. Since the two scales function with equal accuracy, and this one is definitely more attractive. this one at first seems like the better choice. Well, even though I love the looks of this one, the design has one drawback. Because the on/off control is on the front edge, it is easily bumped. The scale is often being turned on by accident. This is a real annoyance for me. Depending on where you keep your scale and whether you work in the area next to it, this might not be an issue for you. I just thought I should share my experience. Since this may not be an issue for other users, I am going to retain the five stars.

I really like this scale! Everything in the description is accurate and I really appreciate the glass front face unlike the metal plates on typical scales.Everything read accurately and functions very well. I mainly use the grams and ounces features for measuring out foods. Two things I did notice about this scale was that it does not read anything typically below 5 grams. So if you want to measure something below 5 grams you would have to get something that weighs 5 grams (like a nickel) and then place whatever you wish to weigh and take the difference.The other thing about this scale was the placing of the buttons, it probably isn't a problem for most people but when I go to store it away I occasionally hit the button which turns it on and get annoying but nothing too major.Other than that, it is a fantastic scale! Easy to clean, very accurate, and feels very sturdy and luxurious.

Easy to handle, plenty of options

Es una bascula muy precisa, si bien no detecta desde 1 gr, si detecta incrementos de 1 gr por lo que puedes poner cualquier cosa y luego pesar lo necesario. El unico inconveniente es que no es muy facil de limpiar por abajo el cristal.

This is a long term review as it was bought May 2018.I feel bad for the seller as people are saying this product does not work when they weigh household items such as a can of soup etc. The weight printed on the can label is for the content INSIDE the can...not with the can !Originally I picked this up for my baking as grams is much more accurate I feel as opposed to measuring cups and it has worked very well for this purpose. In using this over the past year and a half I have used this for much more than just a simple kitchen scale. I've used this from portioning out such things as 2 part epoxy’s, making my secret plant fertilizer mixes, to make lotions and body creams and weighing out clay for kids crafting among many other uses.I feel one of the most important uses was by accident...as a kids learning tool. How much does this weigh? How much does that weigh? An inquisitive child is a VERY good thing I feel. We learned their teddy bear hamster is 23 grams, a fossilized megalodon tooth we have is 192 grams and one of their school clay craft project is 152 grams. A child enjoying numbers is a delight that I will happily encourage.TIP ► **** again please for the sake of fairness please remember when weighing packaged items to see if this works for you or not the weight printed is for contents only **** If the product is removed from the container, put the empty container on the scale then do a tare...then weigh the content ****So what I DID to test this scale, I unpacked my weight calibration sets and I put them to use. In every combination, every usage of this scale against any of my calibration weights the scale always gave the exact gram weight. Please review my pictures as proof.The 500g scale reading was on five 100g calibration weights. = perfect readingThe 105g scale reading was on a 50g, two 20g, one 10g, one 5g calibration weights. = perfect readingThe 50g scale reading was on a single 50g calibration weight. = perfect readingThe 40g scale reading was on two 20g calibration weights. = perfect readingThe 20g scale reading was on a single 20g calibration weight. = perfect readingThe 10g scale reading was on a single 10g calibration weight. = perfect readingThe 5g scale reading was on a single 5g calibration weight. = perfect readingYes the above is repetitive however this does show it is accurate and it is accurate in any combination of the above weights.The scale itself is 16.6 cm wide and 20 cm long. It takes two AAA batteries and in this past 1.5 years since May 2018, the original batteries are still going strong. It has 4 rubber feet on the bottom to prevent the scale from sliding on your surface. As the product listing states it has grams/milliliter/fluid ounces/pound. ounce and all have worked just fine for me.I would recommend this scale 100% to absolutely everyone !Helpful, is how I hope you find my review

I am very happy with the scale.It was very cheap and it measures perfectly in a gram.I use it for cooking. Its easy to clean and I didnt have to replace the baterry since I bough it (4 months).Only problem is that the scale turns off quite quickly if not used. e.g. if I go search for eggs in the fridge after I weighted the flour, the scale would turn off. Therefore, you need to remember how much weight you had if you leave it for 1 minutes without use.However, for the price, its more than good.

Me ha parecido una buena bascula, he buscado uan con superficie de cristal pues he estado usando otras con superficie de acero y acaban todas oxidandose ya que no son de acero inoxidable, ademas es super facil de limpiar y tiene muy buen diseño
