The quality of your ground is more important than most people realize. A faulty house ground can manifest itself in shock hazard, GCFI tripping, damage to appliances and electronics. If you work with RF and erect antennas, being able to verify a proper ground is irreplaceable. The SKYCENX VC4105A Ground Tester has three ranges so you can measure earth conductivity to your power systems and antenna ground plane and mast. Once you have the probes set, it's just a single button to take the measurement. The meter warns you if it detects voltage on the line. You can use the test leads to clip to your own ground source, or use the included ground spikes (which may not be sufficient in all soil types). It's a fast way for me to verify my antenna grounds, and explains why I have so much trouble with antenna performance!

Comes in a decent quality carrying case that holds everything well enough. Quality of the unit is what you'd expect from this price point. Seems to work just fine, but I haven't had a chance to compare it to a more expensive meter. Directions are pretty clearly translated from Chinese, so there is the occasional guesswork involved in reading them.

The package is well-presented, but the plastics feel a bit cheap. That said, it comes with all the accessories needed to run tests, and it’s easy to use. Whether you’re an electrician or a ham radio enthusiast, this is a valuable tool for confirming that your ground is working as expected.
