An effective barrier cream.
As a long distance runner, I sometimes experience 'adult diaper rash'. This is the best product I have tried in terms on the rash not getting worse after a long, hot run. There is no overwhelming scent to the product, nor does it leak through my clothing. Nor does it sting when I put it on. Another plus, one application lasts for most of the day; to exclude running or other exercise. I will buy this product again.

This product is great for sores that develop from spending too much time in bed. After my father's hospital stay it has helped a great deal in protecting his skin.

This product contains a lot of good and natural products (i.e., beeswax), but sadly contains mineral oil. Mineral oil is known to create a barrier and trap things in without allowing your skin to breathe. It might temporarily treat the dermatitis but will come back with a vengeance. Avoid mineral oil (yes, this means Vaseline too!) at all costs.

DERMA-SAV Barrier Cream & Skin Protectant
I want to state this upfront, not because I would be ashamed to admit it, but I don't suffer from incontinence, as least not yet, so that is not why I requested this item through Amazon's Vine program. However I do have an issue where under my stomach sometimes it gets damp, which then leads to an itchy rash. I live in a place where we have high humidity, which can leave you feeling sticky and damp.I have been using a product that the main ingredient is zinc oxide, which does seem to help, but I wanted to try this DermaSav Barrier Cream and Skin Protectant, because it also contains natural ingredients. Natural products tend to be my first line of defense. The active ingredients in this product are zinc oxide- 18%, and Calamine-1%, which I remember using calamine years ago, because I had poison ivy. To me that is one thing I don't like about this product, because it's a light pink, which I would prefer it to be either clear or at least white in color. It's also pretty thick, so consequently it is kind of messy to spread, especially if you have long nails, like I do.The botanicals in this product are aloe vera, lemongrass, coriander and chamomile. The scent is pretty mild. This product does stain, which I guess isn't an issue if you wear adult diapers, which I don't, but the product is soothing, so for me this product is a hit, and a miss. If you are considering it for what it's true intended purpose is, this may be the right product for you.

Good mix of modern and natural - Worked quickly for me
This is a very soothing ointment on irritated, chapped skin. It's not only good for a genitourinary related rash or chaffing, but it's also very good for yeasty type irritations that can happen under breasts, arms, or where any skin might contact other skin. Just make sure that the skin is clean and dry before application. While it is not completely natural, it does contain a lot of natural products. The calamine 1% that's in it is very soothing. It also has 18% zinc oxide, bees wax, Chamomilia Recutita, and sunflower seed oil and wax in it. It does contain mineral oil, dimethicone, and Methylparaben in it. It seems like a good mix to me of 'modern' and natural. It worked very well and quickly for me. It took about 2 days for the red, weepy chaffed skin I was dealing with caused by this horrid humidity and heat under my breasts to turn back to looking completely normal. As soon as I put it on, it felt soothing and cool.I did get a small spot of several millia bumps that wasn't there before though. They popped up after the first night in a very small area compared to the size of the area I was treating. It was just one tiny area so perhaps that was just a fluke. I probably would not use this on a visible area after that though. It would probably be fine, but it might block the keratin and pores a bit much for me to risk it. I'd buy it again though - it works. It's going to be something I keep around in the summer.

GOOD PRODUCT
This is very soothing, if you get sore down there. Water resistant, and it is nice to keep a tube handy to use as needed.
