This shampoo smells AMAZING, leaves my hair feeling super clean and not weighed down. This container will last us 8-9 months.

If you are allergic to nickel do NOT get this product. All of their line has nickel in it and unfortuently i got an allergic reaction.

I have normal to oily hair (more oily at the roots after a few days of not washing). Otherwise, I have limp, lifelessly flat, thin, fine, naturally red hair. I don’t usually color or heat style my hair (often). It isn’t what I would considered weak or damaged. I don’t suffer from psoriasis or dandruff. Still, there were three versions of this shampoo available to me and I wanted to give them all a try to see what would work for me. It comes in a very sturdy 33.8oz plastic yellow branded bottle for $65. Might seem expensive, but when you consider the formula and the sheer size and how long it will last, it is a pretty good deal. I wish these larger bottles came with pop tops to dispense. Instead, you have to awkwardly unscrew and pour the shampoo into your hand. I’m waiting for the day I drop the bottle in the shower because it is pretty cumbersome. The shampoo has a light earthy maple scent (natural to the product), but isn’t overpowering or unpleasant. The shampoo itself, is a medium weight, slightly golden, pearlescent shampoo. Not a lotion, gel, or cream texture. Not sure what you call it. It is shampoo texture. There, that cleared that up. I think you know what I mean. Not thick like conditioner but not runny or watery or heavy. Not a gel but gel-like I guess. Per the product and branding: “Authentic Beauty Concept's Replenish Cleanser is a nourishing, pleasant cleanser that strengthens damaged hair. Performance driven vegan formulas free from micro plastics, mineral oil, parabens, SLS/SLES sulfates & silicones. Registered with the Vegan Society. Cruelty-free. Gluten-free. Brand Story Authentic Beauty Concept is premium hair care brand with performance driven vegan formulas. We believe what we leave out is just as important as what we put in. Free from micro plastics, mineral oil, parabens ​& silicones.” Still, the shampoo manages to provide a thorough clean, suds well, and doesn’t strip the hair. I prefer Authentic Beauty’s blue bottle (hydration). This one, for damaged hair, seems to be more than I need (in terms of replenishing) and ends up weighing my hair down a little. If you have thin, fine damaged hair, it may be suitable for you. Likely ideal for those with thicker, dry hair. Still, it is a lovely shampoo and I will continue to use it until I finish it.

This bottle really is giant if you can't tell from product listing. I was surprised as to how large it really is in person. I was happy it was packed fairly well and did not leak in shipping. As others have mentioned, it would be beneficial to put this in a smaller container if you don't have a lot of shower space or a good shower shelf to put this one. I have 2 other versions of this shampoo and this one is my least favorite, but its still a fine shampoo. This one doesn't seem to give as much back to my hair as the other ones do. I am at the end of my color right now and I kind of actually want it to fade so it doesn't bother me that this does seem to fade my color a bit. If you are looking for more color protection I would grab either the Hydrate or Glow shampoo's from this brand.

I have purchased some pretty large bottles of shampoo or conditioner, but they always have a pop-top or a pump. This is my first experience with a bottle heavy enough to break your toe on impact that lacks an easy way to dispense it in the shower. Unscrewing a plastic top, pouring some into a hand, and then replacing the top, all while soaking wet in the shower, is not a smart design. This Authentic Beauty Concept Replenish Cleanser does work well. The scent is mild and doesn't linger. It lathers well, and rinses clean. My hair is thick, wavy/curly, and long, so I always have to add a conditioner. I can't test a shampoo without following with a conditioner to control frizz and make my hair manageable. It did come out beautifully with this shampoo (plus a frizz control conditioner). I like this product a lot, but I definitely want a smaller bottle or a pump.
