this may be hard to beleive, but I'm an actual ancestor of this person I've not long known, and didn't know there were books too 😅🙂

The fascinating story of one of our greatest but largely forgotten soldiers rather spoilt by too much detail and a tiny font.

As a relative of the author I am slightly biased however the book is well written and a interesting subject

A most scholarly - and very readable - biography of a fascinating character - a general who saw action in more engagements than any contemporary other than the Duke of Wellington - never lost a battle. The book covers many campaigns and actions that are mainly overlooked in today's history curriculum. Worth the read.
