A must for academic writing. The quality of paper is fantastic. Very comprehensive in its coverage.

This classic book covers every area that a writer could be interested in--punctuation, grammar, usage, the publishing process, copyright, etc.The main reason I bought this book was to seek guidance on punctuation, and I am happy with the comprehensive instructions provided by the manual.

CMOS is not new to the ones who know about it. Extremely helpful.

It's the correct book for sure, and I'm really glad I could find this so easily on Amazon. But though the book as a whole was in God shape, the cover showed signs of folding that I couldn't quite fathom. Nonetheless, a great buy.

I purchased this product for my university studies. No writer or editor should be without it. While an online subscription is available, I prefer having a paper copy in my hands. I've already got colorful flags on many pages. Great reference book.

I have been an avid user of the Chicago Manuals of Style for at least 20 years and I find that I consult it at least once per month. Recently I decided to retire my old and now rather worn copy of the 15th edition and get the new 17th edition. The decision was also strengthened by the fact that when consulting the on-line edition of the Chicago Manuals of Style I found that much of the advice and rules had changed since the 15th edition. The new edition is much better adapted to the times we live in now with electronic publishing and references more often being in electronic repositories than in printed works. I am very pleased with the new edition and I am confident that it will be at my side in many years to come. It gives you a helping hand when you need it most and even if it is a work of reference it can equally well be read from beginning to end. Read in this way you probably will profit the most due to the very good advice and ideas you will get from this text.
