Worked well , difficult to install but worth it

Don't waste your time especially on largers tires Very unreliable, wheel shakes at 55mph then doesn't shake 1 minute later Over 70 be fine 1 minute then shaking like mad. Rather they be un balanced at least you know when they shake ect

I was pretty skeptical using these but i wanted a better solution for winter tires. In winter my rims pick up snow, ice, dirt and knock out the balance. I have always just ran standard weights and cleaned out my rims 3 or 4 times a season when they start hopping around on the highway. These beads will not compensate for large imbalances but definitely smooth out most balance issues. We put on about 50kms a day, mostly highway and canadian dirt roads and they have stayed very smooth. I am pleasantly surprised how well the beads have worked. I think they are smoother than standard weights. Saves a step on mounting, just throw the little bag in. No need to run the balancer. So if you are a backyard mechanic all you really need is a bead breaker. I am not sure how they would work on truck tires but on standard car tires they won me over.

Coming from the semi truck diesel world, I have always been skeptical about balance beads. They seem to be 50/50 on whether they would work or not whenever you put them in a truck tire. I run 35" mud terrain tires on my duramax and have never been able to successfully balance them because the rims I have can only use sticky weights. I have never been able to get all the vibration out of the tires and have just lived with it..until now. I installed these balance beads at the manufacturers recommended 16oz for my tire size and I honestly forgot I had installed them on the first drive. Half way through the first drive I noticed there was something different; what I realized was the truck wasn't shaking and vibrating anymore at really any speed. The only speed I have noticed any type of tire vibration is around 20-25 but that could be just the feeling of the aggressive tread. I am now a believer. This was a valuable purchase and I intend to continue running these beads in all my tires from now on!
