Finally! Tapered-leg Jeans for bigger guys!
I have finally found the perfect jeans! I've always worn Levi's, but the fit was always somewhat off. I absolutely loathe bootcut and other cuts that flare out and become baggy around the ankle, so I started wearing Straight fit. This was an improvement, but still left me with too much down on my ankles. So I tried athletic fit: this was much better in the calf and the ankle, but the extra room in the seat was too much, and basically traded bagginess in the ankles for bagginess in the backside. Finally I found these! The slight taper solves my flare-out/bagginess problem around the calf and ankle, and the "regular" fit is a much better fit in the seat. I highly recommend if these concerns match your own. Great find!

I like the cut of the 502 (as many others have stated, i also used to wear 508s until they were discontinued). unfortunately, also like many others i ordered 3 pairs and they are 3 totally different sizes (length is 2"+ different across the 3 pairs). I actually used to work for Levi Strauss and was given a tip at the time that individual plants operate on their own tolerances (meaning mexico would trend long and vietnam would trend short for example). that obviously doesn't help when you're buying online and cannot check the lable, though.

and smaller around the ankles gives me a "fitted" look without making me look like a skinny hipster wearing his gf's jeans
little bit of room in the thighs, and smaller around the ankles gives me a "fitted" look without making me look like a skinny hipster wearing his gf's jeans. I'm 6'1" 175 lbs, ordered the 32x34 and they fit well. I workout 5-6 days/wk but am no means a bodybuilder

You're killing me Levi! Great style but cut too long!
First I'll say the 502 is a great style of which I own 2 pairs. But now to my purchase on Amazon...I buy 32x29 for a more tailored look as opposed to 32x30 which bunches up on top of my shoe (effectively making the tapered look of the 502 pointless). However the 32x29 I was sent is cut at 32x30 (see pic comparing my 32x29 to what I received). I bought them on sale on Prime Day so I cannot exchange for a properly cut pair but only return them and thus losing out on the sale :(. As a life long Levi customer I am very disappointed in Levi's quality control with sizing length. Moral of story: Online is great for convinence but trying the clothes on in store is still your best bet to get the fit your looking for.

Mislabeled/Too Short/Poor Quality Control
The jean would have been perfect, but the stated inseam on both the website and label is way off. I need a 34 length and that is what I ordered. After trying them on (and the fit perfect in waist, thighs, seat, had a nice taper) but they were just too short. At first I thought it was because they are a slimmer cut...and sometimes that can impact the length. So I decided to measure the inseam...it measures 31 to 31.5...that's 3 inches less than they should be. If you are tall, that makes a huge difference! FYI...I measured the inseam with the pants laying flat, and tugged them to make sure they weren't bunched up.I thought that maybe I just got a pair that was mismarked, so I ordered another pair (a size smaller...because of the stretch, I felt I could go down a size). I received those, and they were also 3 inches shorter than stated. So know I know this company is purposely cutting their pants too short and falsely advertising the length. On the plus side...the jeans fit perfect otherwise. They are more of a "dressy" type jeans...they fit your body (they aren't a loose or relaxed fit), they also have a nice taper, for me that meant I didn't have to take them in because most jeans the leg openings are way too big for me. They have a nice stretch to them...so if you do order, you may want to consider going a size down. If you are a short guy...I'm sure these will work perfect for you (and most of the bigger guys I know...are usually looking for shorter inseams, so it should be no problem). But if you have a longer inseam...a true 33/34...these will be too short for you. If they came in a 36 length in my waist size, I'd gladly give those a try, but I'm still pissed that they are advertising these as a 34 length and they are not even close to that (these should have been marked 32 length..and even then they'd be a half inch too short).Pictures attached. I also measured some jeans I currently own, they were all accurate and measured 34 inches. I also measured 4 other brands I ordered and all of them were accurate in their stated inseam. Just not Levis.FYI...I've been on a mission to find new jeans after losing weight...and wanted to try jeans with a stretch to them. So I've bought and returned at least 11 pairs of jeans in the past month...while each had a unique fit, all were accurate in the stated inseam...except these. Also, if you are a bigger guy looking at stretch jeans...I've found most brands do run larger in the waist than started...especially if you wear them on your belly. So just a tip...consider going down a size or two.

Awesome jeans, but they will shrink if you use warm water and a dryer
Great jeans! Just be careful drying them, even on low heat. All of the black ones I bought shrunk a lot but still fit. I just wear them anyway and get the Skinny jeans comments for people at work. They weren’t skinny at first but were after washing in warm water and drying on low heat.I now wash in “tap cold” water and only hang dry them and they stay just fine. However, after they shrink it’s too late. If you want them a little tighter though you can use this information to shrink them to fit you perfectly. Once they fit the way you want, just hang dry them from then on.

5 stars for 502's, but the Panda style is a loser!
the Stealth are literally the best jeans i've ever had (going back decades), so i bought the Rigid Envy and Panda. Rigid Envy is very similar to Stealth...maybe a bit longer. But the Pandas are a disaster. they don't just have a bit of stretch, it's like they're made of elastic. just putting them on and the 34 waist stretches out to maybe 38. it's insane.but the 502 ("regular" leg but thinner than other brands...and better than the 511/513 skinny jeans...with a slight taper) is my new favorite style. it's just hit and miss based on the color/fabric.

Really stretchy comfortable jeans
These are by far the most comfortable Levi's style I've tried. And Levi's are about the only jeans I will by. They fit perfect and have a good amount if stretch in them. Also are perfect if you concealed carry because you don't need to buy as size too big.

Panda color smells like formaldehyde, won't wash out.
I bought one pair in black and one in the "Panda" wash. I give the black ones 5 stars, but the Panda color had a bit of a chemical smell. I washed them but the smell persisted. I tried wearing them but the smell really irritated me and I got a bit of a rash. Turns out the smell is formaldehyde which they use to preserve jeans that may sit in warehouses for a long time and I must be a bit allergic to it. I tried many things to remove the formaldehyde including multiple washes with different cleaning products, soaking in vinegar, soaking in baking soda, and hanging in the sun for several days, but they still smell and make me a bit itchy. The black ones had zero smell and are my new favorite jeans so if you're unlucky and get a pair that smells return them right away if it's something that bothers you, don't expect it to wash it out.Apparently it fairly common especially nowadays for companies to use formaldehyde in jean production but it's not something I personally have ever experienced before. Also, I have now seen a bunch of other reviews mention the same issue specifically with the Panda ones, so avoid those.

Fits larger than expected
Normally with Levi's I fit a 36 waist (occasionally I can get away with a 34). Got the 36 of these and they're super baggy both in the waist and everywhere else.Look wise they're fine, just fit way too big.As well, they're not jeans, more of a stretchy material that's kinda like jeans.

May not be genuine as sizing is off
Doubt they are true Levi's. Size 36x32 more like a 36x30. Length way too small, held up next to my other 36x32 genuine Levi's they appear 2" shorter. Very disappointed in this product.
