We have a Infant Optics Baby Monitor. The connector got bent and would charge intermittently depending on how we twisted the connector. A review on Amazon suggested getting a charging plug that was a little longer than the original so it would fully seat and make the connection. It Works! The 8mm Extra Long fixed the problem.

The large connector solves the problem of a poor fit with some devices. The extra cord length is useful. The connector has two springy teeth which hold the connector in the device so it is really not likely to fall out doing away with that annoyance. It seems fairy thick and durable.Jay

I thought something was wrong with my Kindle--it would not take a charge with the old usb cable (short tip). I'd have to plug it in and stand it on end to get just the right contact. bought this longer tipped usb and no problems now, charges every time without any theatrics.

Pros:- After over a year of use often at a harsh 90 degree angle, cord is still intact and operable- Doesn't come out of phone easily- Nice long cableCons:- Slow charge, battery will lose % if using while charging and eventually dieI bought this to be my couch charger last year - the long cable and long tip allow me to have my phone plugged in when I am browsing or facetiming at the end of the day and my phone battery is low. Unfortunately it does not charge as quickly as the cable I bought for my bedside, and if you are using your phone while charging it will still die. The cable I bought for my bedside slips out easily, but charges very quickly. If you are okay with a slow charge, no worries, but if you plan to use your device while charging, find a different cord. I am replacing this one and reassigning it as my kitchen charger where I "set it and forget it" so a slow charge is fine.

Unlike other vendors, the Proxicast people mean it when they say the tip is extra long.I have a Mophie Juice Plus, which has the USB connector in a rounded bottom corner of the case. the "rounded" part means a standard micro-USB cable sits very precariously, and falls out of its socket at the slightest movement.with this Proxicast cable, problem solved. I returned the cheaper Cellet cables I got (which were, despite loud lettering on the box, standard size - see my review heer https://www.amazon.com/Cellet-418901-Charging-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00O7KPVEO/ref=cm_cr-mr-title) and ordered a 2nd Proxicast cable.
