Great product
Sprayed on, it turned purple and removed old brake dust. Some spots were extra heavy and needed another shot.

Well Worth it
Works great but only cleaned 8 wheels with the 35oz bottle...maybe I used too much, but it did work and run-off was purple like it describes. Have gotten numerous compliments on how good the wheels look now. The smell is incredibly nice. Easy to use. Rinsed wheels, sprayed wheel cleaner and then let them percolate for 5 minutes and they were clean and shiny after I rinsed them off. Never had to use brush. Kind of pricey for 8 wheels but that was probably operator error.

Best wheel cleaner I've used.
Prior to buy this, I had used and enjoyed Sonax (230200-755) Wheel Cleaner Full Effect - 16.9 fl. oz. and it works great, don't get me wrong... but at nearly $1 / ounce, it's a bit expensive. The smell also isn't the best and not something I want to breath in. I did a ton of research and was about to buy AMMO NYC Plum Wheel cleaner but the cost for shipping was insane. In doing research many people on Reddit and other forums seem to agree that AMMY NYC Plum is just rebranded Griots based on the smell and reaction. On that, I ordered a gallon and it came in yesterday. The smell has NOTHING to do with how this stuff works, but I really enjoy it, so that's always a bonus. I purchased a Rubbermaid Professional Plus Heavy-Duty Spray Bottle from my local Wally-World because it was $2 cheaper, and it's a great spray bottle for this. To wash the 4, 19" wheels on my Audi S4 I used about 5oz total, according to the hash marks on the side. I also use a bit more than the average person to clean the barrels and what not, so I'd imagine at the rate of use to get about 30 full washed of all 4 wheels per gallon jug, that's amazing to me! Most wheel cleaners have a very vague description on the back about use. This is very specific. There's also much debate about hosing your wheels down with water first then applying cleaner, or just applying it straight on a dry wheel. Most will tell you spraying down with water first will dilute the cleaner, but Griots actually says to do this, to help losen and remove any surface dust and dirt. I did this first, then sprayed the wheels down, one at a time. The bottle also suggests 3-5 minutes of time, Sonax is 30-60 seconds. I didn't time this exactly but I know it wasn't a full 5 minutes. As the solution dissolves the heavy iron materials it turns a reddish / purple color, a really nice touch. A little agitation with a few wheel brushes and sponges I use and the wheels came clean very quickly. A proper rinse and then dried with towels and I'm very happy with the results. In the photo, the clean wheel appears much brighter, but the time I got done washing the whole car and drying and back around for a "clean" photo the sun shifted, sorry about that! The wheels are factory silver.

Smelly but works.
Works well. You must also use Bruch to really get the bad stuff off. I find the smell a little off-putting but it's tolerable.

Great Prep for G2 Caliper Paint system
I bought this to prep/clean my calipers and caliper brackets to be painted. This stuff worked amazingly well. BONUS: As my wife pointed out "It smells nice too! Like Strawberries". The spray bottle is of good quality and emits a good foaming spray.

Decent wheel cleaner
Decent. Not the best wheel cleaner I’ve tried. Wish it was more viscous so it’ll cling longer. Iron remover capability is decent, wheels don’t turn purple as much as others I’ve used such as Adam’s wheel cleaner or Meguiar’s ultimate wheel cleaner. $22 for 35 oz is ok. For 24 oz $10 Meguiar’s is a better value per oz. Once I finish these I’ll prob try something else or just stick to Meguiar’s wheel cleaner. Griots makes great products in general. This wheel cleaner is abysmal.

Awesome wheel cleaner! Worked as expected!
This Griot’s Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner worked great on my vehicle’s wheels. I sprayed this generously on one wheel at a time after hosing them down. After letting it sit for a few minutes, I scrubbed them with a wheel cleaning brush and the dirt came right off. Given how dirty my wheels were, I did a second application and that took care of the rest. Now I can better maintain my wheels during regular washes. It says it color changes but I didn’t notice much color change. That said, there was definitely a lot of dirt removed as it oozed down onto the driveway.

The product removes dirt and grimes easily without repeated use or scrubbing. Saves time! Make sure there is enough product coverage on the surface to be cleaned. Follow instructions on label and you'll get the results.

Works pretty well but have had better.

One of the best rim cleaners I have used. Took off the caked on break dust with ease, especially within the drum of the rims which are usually neglected. Highly recommend this product!
