Poolmaster 20173 18-Inch Swimming Pool Brush With Aluminum-Back and Combo Bristles, Premier Collection

I have been without a pool service company for 15 years, doing it all myself to save money. In that time, I have gone through at least a dozen nets, poles, and brushes. Granted sometimes it's my fault but the pole available from the local pool supply are flimsy and usually break at the attachment hole. I was shocked to see how easily they tear, like paper. I've lost some because a kid here or there thought he was Darth Vader and whacked it around like a lightsaber or rode one like a horse in the pool, snapping it in the middle. I freely admit. I also tend to leave these things out by the pool, in the sun and not drag it all in and out of the garage a couple of times a week. Even so, treating these from Poolmaster the same way minus a battle with Darth, they have held up remarkably well. The pole is extra thick with a nice rubber grip. It's long enough to be able to push tiny particles directly in the bottom drain, 6.5 feet down. The net  Poolmaster 21191 DLX Heavy-Weight Aluminum Leaf Skimmer - Premier Collection is just as strong, no tears even though it ends up picking twigs and sticks deposited by my dog. The 18" Brush ( 20173) is solid and the bristles are still intact. Most importantly, all the attachments ends, the wholes and little buttons are still strong and show no signs of wearing out or breaking. I am very happy with this Pro Line, it can take the abuse I tend to inflict.

I have a large plaster in ground pool and occasianlly8 have yellow algae problems. i was using a nylon brush but it did not clean all the yellow algae so it would return. Using this brush and yellow out, i notice the water stays cleaner. I would highly recommend this combination wire and nylon brush.

I have purchased this style combo brush from a national pool supply dealer located in the DFW area under their name brand.I found this one from Premier. I have been impressed with their product quality and price in the past.This brush has not disappointed.I have found that rinsing it off with plain tap water from the garden hose after using helps prolong its' life.

I did not try using, as it is just not right for me. The sharp metal bristles where not straight and bent in different directions, and not uniform when the item was received in the box. I am not sure if this is normal, but a good indication that with one use that they will be bent even more. I exchanged the brush for the same brand all nylon brush, which had uniform tight bristles and seems like it will do the job.

When our pool was remodeled the pool builder told us we needed to brush it twice a day with a "combo brush" both nylon and wire.No local vendors had it, but was able to buy it from the Amazon - came next day and we were able to meet the expectations of the pool people.Seems to work fine - good quality.

I just don't understand why the reviews are so good for this product! There are hardly any stainless steel bristles on this brush. It's mostly just nylon. I used it for a few weeks and was really finding it difficult to get the yellow off the pool walls. I complained about it to my pool guy who handles my chemicals and he got me a better brush for $30. I'm telling you, that thing worked better immediately. I don't know what brand it is and have not found something similar on Amazon, but it is far better than this one. I wish I didn't pay the money for this because I had to replace it right away.

Works well. Does a great job. I've been using it for a long time and it has held up well. Very pleased with the quality.

Deserving a 5 star if it doesn't come with the gummy stickers adhered to the handle. The sticker was a minor irritation and I had to use the goo-off to clean it up. Hate those stickers. As far as the brush is concern, its very well made and the brush stiffness is just right.
