Refreshing source of information
Until now, the most helpful and honest book I've discovered about hypnosis and mind control has been Carla Emery's "Secret, Don't Tell: An Encyclopedia of Hypnosis". I continue to be amused and saddened whenever I read a statement from a celebrated professional that hypnosis cannot be used to influence humans to perform acts that would normally be unacceptable. I look forward to the day when our society accepts the reality that the power of suggestion can be used as much for harm, as it can be used for healing. I believe that it is especially essential - when working as a mental health professional with clients who have suffered from trauma or abuse - to use techniques and interventions that - unlike hypnosis - help to develop and/or reinforce those clients' INTERNAL locus of control.

Mind Control Hypnosis
Maybe I am new to hypnosis, but I have been interested in it and studying it for a while now. I want to say that Dantalion Jones hit his mark with this book. It is remarkably easy to understand, and to follow. This book answered many questions I had regarding the process of hypnotism, and it clearly gave me directions and a pattern on how to conduct a full hypnosis session with someone. I have read other how to manuals and had to figure out how to conduct a session, and I must say there were mistakes made by me. Mind Control Hypnosis made a lot of things clear. I must say that the part I love most is the different places to creat in the mind. The place that where things are true, the place where things were once true but not longer are, etc. And the chapter on process state totally opened my eyes to what hypnosis it totally capable of. Sorry for the spoiler!Dantalion Jones knows what he is talking about in this book. I know, because I am good at what I do also. I know a professional when I see one. I love his no holds barred approach, and his ability to just tell it like it is regardless of what others might not want him to reveal in his repsective field. So if you want to know what hypnotism is about, and true fundementals to practice it, I suggest you read this book. It's worth it.Jeff

Okay but not great
This was an interesting book and it contained a few scripts. There are a lot of places within the book where it is obvious that the author intends to use one word but uses another, like here instead of hear or you instead of your. Several of these scripts simply repeat other scripts listed in the book with just a few changes to them.Other than those quirks, it was a useful book but not outstanding. I give it a three because it is better than many of the hypnosis books I have read, but not among the best.

Great Book
I thought that this book was extremely streight forward and written so anybody reading it could understand the concepts presented. I'm reading this a month before attending Hypnosis training by Jeff Stephens and believe it will be helpful in getting the most from that experience. I've ordered several more of Dantalion's books and will continue because it's important work in the field of Mind Control. I think I'll start my New Cult as soon as I think of a catchy name....: }>.

Powerful and Informative
Once and for all Dantalion answers the question of can I use hypnosis to get someone to do anything I want them to? Most hypnotists will tell you emphatically that no one will do anything under hypnosis that they won't do while awake. That you can't make anyone do anything against their will. He answers this with the question of "how strong is your will?" It is possible to will yourself to break bad habits but most don't. It's possible to will yourself to succeed in a chosen path but most won't. For most the will is stronger to create challenges than to solve them. That's where hypnosis comes in. Two things I will say about this book. 1). In the wrong hands it could be very dangerous. 2). He needs someone to edit his books for spelling errors. As far as recommendations go what I will say is just like the public service adds you see about drinking responsibly, use this book responsibly.

This is a gem for the REAL hypnotist!
Actually i shouldnt be writing this, because this is a real gem for real hypnotistsand i love to keep this for myself lol ... but something says i must, since i am alsoa hypnosis intructor who teaches this for years now in a similar fast and effective way.So, I am not talking about the hypnotists who do it the hard way (indirect), but onlythe ones that already have a little experience, and want to know and learn whyit can be soooo simple and so fast. It really can. No really.I am one of those hypnotists: i have helped so many people with their problems,in often ONE 15/20-minute-session! Yes, it can be done, but as long as you thinkits impossible, then you just do it your hard way (wherin you can make many verbal mistakes). As Dantalion puts it nicely: the power of hypnosis is underrated, because the powerof the mind is underrated. Dead on! Thats exactly the problem for lots of hypnotherapists. It CAN be that easy to do. How? read the book, stick with it, do it, and be fearless!(Oh, and take a course with Dantalion (or Jeffrey Stephens) for the must-have hands-on training)By the way: Dantalion's definition of hypnosis is absolutely brilliant and says it all.A MUST have for everyone that wants to learn how to really help people in a few mins using real hypnosis.RudyNGH/OMNIgrad/ICBCH/WLM/ESLINGER etc. certified Hypnotist (and all these mean nothingwithout doing it, but i still added them so you know i've read and studied before to say the least :-) )

Spelling mistakes galore
I can forgive one or two errors but its full of them making a lot of what is said useless. Also it gives few examples of what reflecting back is, and much more. All this book does is refer you to other books this author has written. Its not very professional or accurate but might be interesting to some

Good & Informative
Personally I found this book to be a good read with inormation that is not included in ordinary run of the mill hypnosis books. This would be one of my recommended reads for those interested in hypnotism as you can spend a small fortune on hypnosis books and not get anymore information contained in this book

Highly recommended
This is not for the beginner apprentice of hypnosis. I have been studying hypnosis for a few years now and I must say that Dantalion books are among the every best books I ever read. Mind opening and closer to the truth than any other book.
