FIDDES CLEAR Fiddes and Sons Supreme Wax Polish, 400 mL

By far the best clear wax I’ve used and I’ve been refinishing furniture for many years. See my photo I sanded down this chair to the original wood and used this wax for the first time on a recommendation from another Instagramer and it goes on like butter, dries fast and is so smooth and clean no residue no stickiness, and doesn’t change the color of the wood. This is my holy Grail from now on

Great wax. I have a very blonde wood finish on my table and this clear Fiddes and Sons does not change the color of my finish. It goes on easily and has a bit of a chemically smell, but the smell dissipates pretty quickly. Fast Shipping as well. Will buy again.

The media could not be loaded. When I first took off the lid, it looked full, however once I started the dab the brush into it, it fell down to about 75-80% in volume. However the company goes by weight, not volume.I bought this wax on a recommendation that it won't change the color/shade, and it did not. No change in color but now our restored buffet has a buttery luster and finish. I'm very pleased with the application and dry time. I've attached a picture of my piece half waxed so you can see the color hasn't changed.It has an odor/fumes, so I waxed my piece outside, and I would assume it might take some time for fumes to dissipate. It may be a few days before I move it into the house.Once I'm done waxing, I will put my rags in a sealed bag with water in it to prevent spontaneous combustion, before throwing it in the trash.Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and will keep it on hand for future use.

The wax works well. It’s the easiest and fastest wax I’ve worked with simply because you don’t have to wait for it to cure/dry before you polish it off. I bought the “clear” color wax (I don’t use my waxes for staining, only protection and shine) and it certainly is clear; it adds no color whatsoever which is exactly want I want.My only complaints are that it seems to be a bit thinner than other waxes so I have to apply more coats to get the same finish; and when I opened the can upon arrival, there was much less than what I would consider to be a “full can” of wax. The wax was down about a full inch from the lid. I would think “full” means there isn’t much extra space in the can to add more wax, but there was plenty room left to fill with more wax without risk of leakage. Other than that, it’s a great product.

Great product... wanted a sealer that didn't change the wood color & finally found it in this wax.

I’ve used a lot of different waxes on many of my projects (experimenting to determine which one provided just the right shine, protection and how long it would hold the luster) and Fiddes & Sons clear is without a doubt the best option.One of the reviews said he was disappointed that it didn’t provide a thick coat and needed multiple coats to get a shine. Yes two coats will make it pop for sure but you never want to have a thick film of wax. That’s just silly talk. Two thin coats and it singing. And a little goes a long way. I’m definitely a fan of this product.

Great product

I am new to furniture refinishing and this stuff has made it so easy! I LOVE it! I have used this on several projects and they all have turned out beautifully. No yellowing, no chance of running, and it buffs right up to just the right amount of shine. It doesn't take much so the can lasts a while. There is a smell but to me it's not as overpowering as I thought it'd be. I used for a small project in my living room. Well ventilated with overhead fan and a/c running and it dissipated just fine, no problem. I can't wait to try more versions of this wax later on. This stuff is amazing!
