Awesome sled and great base for Captain America shield
I now own 5 of these sleds, four black and one orange. I originally purchased two of the black sleds to be able to sled on my hill (I live in Cleveland Ohio and we get snow), and make the second into a Captain America Shield for a Christmas Gift. I got a few more to make a new shield and to have more to sled with. The Shield worked out great. The plastic isn't too hard to cut into with a Dremel or router. It is approx 3/8th of an inch thick so you can cut into it and not worry about going all the way through. You have 5 holes you need to patch to make the shield, 2 for each handle and 1 for the hole that punch in to allow you to hang up the sled when not in use. Check out Instructables for a few tutorials using this sled as a base if you want the fine details of creating your own shield.Sledding with them is awesome as they are thick enough that you don't feel the small bumps and lumps in the snow. They aren't flimsy or cheap. And they have a lifetime warranty on them. Some things to note. MH Sleds are made right here in the USA, California I believe. They only sell them through Amazon and they are the only seller, no third parties. Once Amazon receives them, they go from Currently Unavailable to in stock. This can be hit or miss. You can follow them on Facebook and they have updates on their page for when they become available. Their last shipment to Amazon was 360 sleds and they were down to just 10 of one color, purple, in less than 12 hours. If you see they are unavailable, check their Facebook page, or check back here occasionally. They will get more in stock soon. Now go buy an awesome sled

SnOw much fun!
These sleds are of good quality, I bought 2 for Christmas gifts & just a week later they were in use. Be prepared, the circle shape has these sleds turning in circles as they slide down, so could be a little intimidating and scary for young kids. They don't offer the control that you would get in a traditional sled and of course there's no brake. They were fun & held up really good, it's a thick shell with strappy handles on each side to hold on to. I prefer the traditional sleds but these made for an evening of fun and with the spinning, I say they'll be used again & again...if we can just get more snow! It's been unusually warm here with no snow in the forecast.

Very Sturdy but small
These are small saucers. Perfect for kids and any able to tuck their legs easily Under themselves. Otherwise plan on a saucer big enough for your 'bum' with your Legs held Out in front. We love their sturdiness & if they were larger, oh my they'd be perfect!

Not for Texas
These are super cute but they don't seem to slide very easily. In fact, my kids gave up on these after a few failed attempts down the hill. Perhaps if the snow were a little deeper the Snow Sled Saucer would have worked better. But, in the light Texas snow, these weren't real practical!

5-Star Saucer Sled, Indeed!
We used this sled for the first time today and it was great! My 4'4'' 70 pound 7-year old used it most of the time, but it was big enough for my 6'2'' 250+ pound frame! This is definitely not cheap plastic, either. It is a very thick and rigid plastic. Will be surprised if this doesn't last for many, many years to come. And I love the fact that this sled has actual handles to grab on to. The handles keep your hands inside of the sled instead of along the side and underneath like the recessed handles do on most other sleds of this type. This way, your hands are in a safer position (inside the sled instead of outside of it) and will stay warmer since they are not constantly down in the snow. Like all saucers, it offers little protection for the legs and is difficult to steer in any particular direction, but that is common for this type of sled. This was much nicer than the saucers most of the other kids had who were outside sledding with us! We loved it and I would highly recommend it for anyone in the market for a saucer-type sled.

it's easy to flip over
It does all the sliding. Definitely heavy duty. It's also heavy. And on the small side. If you're tall, it's easy to flip over. That may or may not be fun. With gloves on, your hands can get stuck in the handles. You should practice holding them the right way.The bolts can have sharp parts. You're gonna want to do something about that. We set up a water slide at a party and at one point there was blood everywhere. Everyone was drunk and we had to figure out who was bleeding and what to do about it.Size is really my only complaint. I wish someone could make something this tough that you don't have to be all cross-legged on.

THE LAST SLED YOU WILL EVER BUY!!
We have had three of these for OVER a year now. They are GREAT. They will last forever. Nothing has broke, even drilled holes in them to connect them so we can make a train to pull behind the ATV. Kids love it. We have hit rocks, stumps, etc and left hardly a scratch. I know they are expensive compared to what you get at the store but how long do those last? Buy this and you will not likely ever buy another one. Even if the handles break (which ours have not) just drill holes and make another.
