I bought this bag to use at work. I love this bag, it is very durable and looks great. There is two issues that I am not fond of. The first one is the material they applied to the inside leather pockets is sticky and a little smelly. Secondly the string or thread used to sew in the zippers is loose hanging from the zipper area. Neither issue is bad enough to return or not to order the bag again but things I would like to recommend correcting in the further. Other than that I have used my bag for several months now to carry files and paperwork. I have carried considerable loads in my bag and it has held up fine. There is plenty of storage space for pens, pencils, paper, etc. I am pleased with my purchase and would buy this bag again. I have received many compliments at work on this bag. I have been using it now for several months and it has held up through snow, rain, and heavy carry loads and still looks great. I have done virtually nothing in terms of maintenance such as appling any products to the leather partly because the worn look adds to the charm of the bag and because I really haven't had to. The bag with the exception of the string issue noted earlier is very well made.

I looked at many cases before buying this bag. There's no doubt that you can spend double the money and get a little better case. However, after 2 months of daily use, I'm very satisfied with this product. It's handmade, but it's also pretty durable. I've had a couple loose threads that I've trimmed, but that's it for the complaint department. The snaps are heavy duty and click without any effort. It stays closed when you need it to be closed. I keep a laptop inside the middle compartment with various paperwork on either side. The computer has survived a few tough falls with no problem. I feel as if I've made a good buy and if the last few tough months show me anything it's that I'll be using this case for a long time!

Not sure what some of the smell complaints are about. It smells like leather, not the fake leather smell that we have been accustomed to smelling, but real raw leather. I do think that if you leave it out in the sun to air out, that smell would dissipate as well, but for me I like it. Now, is the bag perfect, No, but nothing handmade usually is. That is what gives this bag character. Yes, some of the stitching is not perfectly straight, but it is not a machine making these, it is a craftsman. I think it is cool to know that most likely no two of these bags are the same. If you want an authentic leather bag with character, this is it. If you are looking for a perfect machine made bag, pay the big bucks and pick another one. I am well pleased and have a hard time believing that anyone can make any money at this price point. I am extremely happy and urge others to join in my happiness by purchasing one too.

Awesome messenger bag! Very soft tone to the leather; doesn't look sharp or cheap in any way. I really like the straps, however, the rivets seem to be placed a little close to the edge of the material in most cases. I'll have to see how it holds up over the next few weeks/months. The buckles are quite nice and their worn look goes well with the bag.Noted that I did not receive a strap piece for the shoulder strap like in the picture. Not a major loss though, I could easily fabricate one.Overall: I really like this bag. I'd recommend it!

This thing is very well built. The leather is soft and semi-pliable, yet feels strong. The stitching all seems like it is heavy duty, as are the multiple 'snaps' and metal hardware. I pulled mine from the shipping box and threw in a chromebook, 3 ring binder full of notes and papers, and hit the road with it. It is very functional, and even though I'm not what you would call a hipster or fashionista, I really like the looks of this thing. An incredible value.

Great looking bag for men or women. There was a little excess sticky glue globs around the snaps and the oil smell lasted a few days, but all that went away and I still have a great bag. Plenty of pockets to carry my work things. Unfortunately, the front pocket is too small for my phone to fit in it, but that isn't a big deal. I love it!

not the best quality but a great price. the first time I used it I got multiple compliments and one comment that it's "been through a lot" - on it's first use. a great, vintage piece that definitely has the worn/used feel. smell did go away after a few days, but the leather still feels odd when in contact with my skin for awhile- like it will rub off color or something. but still, great price. not sure if i'd buy again or look for another.

For the price its a good deal. You get what you pay for. The smell other reviewers are talking about is Linn seed oil. I recognized it from using the stuff in the past. The smell goes away and the oil is used as a naturally stain on the bag. I personally wanted a higher quality bag but again, you get what you pay for. Thats not bad, and it will hold up but it looks cheaper than im looking for.

Excellent product especially for the price

I have no issue with the bag, but I do have issue with the duty ($21.07) not being mentioned at all in the product description. For Canadian shopper, be sure to include the duty charge when comparison shopping for a similar product.

Bought this product has a gift and it did not meet expectations, here's why:- Color was not quite there and I felt the picture was misleading- I was also shocked at the size of this bag as it was smaller than expected- Bag quality was low (buttons falling off, strange smell), compared to other bags in this range or if you paid about 10 dollars moreI ultimately returned this product as it was on Prime and I was slapped with a 10 dollar fee! I raised this to the seller, who did not help at all nor provided timely guidance. Customer service is below par. If you plan on purchasing this item, I would also look at others in this range. I would not purchase or recommend this product.

It's just great! Bought it on Amazon .ca in Canadian dollars. I was surprised when I had to pay duty when it arrived. Apparently it came from overseas. Still....it was a great price and I love it.

Ordering this, I knew what I was getting myself into. I like the look and size, and so I thought I'd give it a go to get me through the school year. Don't be shocked by some peoples reviews that their bag is not the quality of a $200 bag. If you're spending this little on a bag, you should know you're getting what you pay for.It's about the right size for me. It comfortably fits a 1.5" binder a few pens, my 11" macbook air (I doubt some 15" computers would fit), with power cord. I wouldn't be able to fit anything else that is larger.The laptop pocket is padded on the interior, but the exterior and bottom portion of bag is NOT. However, you shouldn't be throwing your bag around or dropping it on objects, so it is fine.The leather is very stiff, and I'm not sure if it will break in.As the other reviews state; it smells of leather and oils. Although potent the smell started fading within hours, and I'm sure will mostly disappear to a dull leather/oily smell.My shoulder strap does not have the canvas look back that are in the photos. Also the threads are frayed, clumped and missing the entire length and quite unsightly (the picture sucks, as my lens has a fog).The shoulder pad for the shoulder strap was missing from the package (Although I wouldn't be surprised if there's not supposed to be one. The pictures seem like the crappy stock and photoshop pics you see all over aliexpress and any website that sells low quality junk)Lastly, the snaps that keep the bag closed feel like junk. I have a feeling they won't last long, but superglue will fix that and then I can just use the belt buckle like closing mechanism.Like I said. If this gets me through the year with daily use, then awesome.P.s. I definitely screwed up when I ordered. Live in Ontario so there was unexpected expenses for duty/customs, but for the price and how gorgeous this bag is was worth it!!! A little glue or grease came off on my finger, will give a wipedown before worn to the office! Love this bag already!

nice patina on the leather after owning this for a while. The strap is stretching out and the snap are loose but nothing I can't live with. I wanted it to weather and it is doing it nicely.

You can't fit a whole lot in here. Pretty narrow, but I only use it for the office so It's perfect for me. I get compliments on it. Unfortunately one of the front snaps won't hold. Might just be that I got a defect.
